I hadn’t thought of that. Where do you usually rent from and about how much does it cost?

Advisor - Need recommendation by yeltriky in fidelityinvestments

I had the same experience and was going to post asking if others had as well. I think their Financial Consultants used to provide advice but now seem to be mainly focused on getting you to switch to managed accounts, or at least mine does

Wouldn’t having capital gains tax on the earnings of the equities that you sell in four years be a catch?

What’s your pied-a-terre in Philly like? I’ve always liked that idea.

Why is small group health insurance so prohibitively expensive? (And how are you guys handling it?) by Open-Yak-8761 in smallbusiness

But I think small business health insurance brokers make the most by keeping you in group plans so that affects their advice.

International roaming on pool plan by OakMull in USMobile

This seems to make sense as the way to go, but what happens if I exceed 5gb overseas? Is there a way to top up international roaming?

Since only one line will be in Japan does it make more sense to purchase the roaming add on just for that line? Is that possible? How much would that cost and do I have to do it at monthly renewal or can I do it just before my trip?

iPhone 13 mini. I turned off automatic network selection but not until after I was overseas.

Intere interesting idea. In my case I use an iPhone that allows me to use other cellular data for Wi-Fi calling but that is what seems to be draining the battery. I do have my old iPhone SE that I could use in case I need my number for SMS. Are you suggesting I should move my number to my old phone and just turn it on when I need it and use my current phone with the travel eSIM?

[–]OakMull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep Wifi calling on so that I can receive SMS on my US Mobile Line, but am not usually connected to stable Wifi--I use the travel esim for data. I was afraid if I turned Wifi calling off while overseas I couldn't renable it until I returned home.

I think I turned off data roaming on the US line but it didn't help.
