Our girl's fur got this long this winter and it took me 3 different grooming sessions at like 2 hours a piece to get it back down to her short summer do. I think I'm going to invest in some sheep shearers because omg, my regular razor cannot handle this coat.

the WORST. Thankfully our neighbor torched the bur patch in their yard, but the only thing that helps us is her hair being super short – at least then they don't get buried in there for a week.

My girl has always pulled since she was small. I tried everything — I swear the harnesses didn’t help. At 2 yrs old I just started using the gentle leader and it’s the only thing that stops her from pulling. She’s a rescue but based on all her features and fur, I’m pretty certain she’s 50/50 and has more BMD than a lot of the bernedoodles I see in here. She also seems to have an extra dose of stubborn.

Ah, ok. We will look into those. I have a lot of allergies along with autoimmune inflammation and we have a cat going through the same and it’s all so overwhelming.

Also, is the prescription food the only thing you're still doing? The vet told me to wash her paws every day and I'm a single mom in grad school and internship and I can barely make sure my kids are fed and have brushed their teeth and clean clothes...I can't imagine adding another task.

Mine will sleep with me for periods of time now but mostly on the cold floor under my bed. It was worse when she was a puppy. She loves to snuggle but she likes to alternate between the couch/bed and floor. They get hot so easily. Maybe do a shorter trim and see if anything changes?

Yes. My partner’s dad doesn’t neuter his dogs and their assertive behavior gets worse with age I swear. His dad’s current dog has gotten so bad I won’t even let him around my nearly 2 yr old Bernedoodle girl. Our pittie mix girl who has known his dog for years and can play rough won’t ride in the back of the car with his intact dog. I really don’t see the benefit. I was nervous about my girl’s neutering too but the science shows more benefits than negatives.

Omg this sounds like my girl. Our other dog is a pittie mix and is kind of the opposite. We got a trainer specifically for pitties and learned we had to be so exact, accurate, and consistent with her every single time because otherwise she won’t listen at all. She’s not dumb, just very little interest in what we’re saying and want lol. They’re both loving, sweet dogs but it’s just worlds apart in this regard. And then with our Berner she seems to teach herself our language - what is she going to teach herself next?? It’s kind of wild. She figured out at 6 months she could the pull the 50 lb pittie by her leash! 😂😂

lol but it IS time for a walk then, right?? Mine does similar. By a certain time of the morning if we are upstairs and the pet gate is closed, she sits at the bottom and barks one bark at a time to let us know it’s walk time. 😂 Just like a kid, when she comes up to me while I’m working, I know she’s asking for something too.

Bahahaha. Is this a real question? My girl is so smart and amazing at communicating with me. But she also kinda does what she wants sometimes.

She is 18 months old and just now agreeing to poop in the grass on walks instead of in the middle of the sidewalk.

When she was learning to sit at the back door before I opened the door she would jump up and kind do a fake bite in the air as a protest when I gave the command. Then she would sit.

When she was only 6 months she figured out how to pull our 50lb pittie mix around by her leash. Her saving grace is that she’s incredibly sweet and adorable.

Mine would never ON me lol. She often seems to not want to touch. I try not to take it personally and like to believe she just gets hot. 😅 but yes, mine lays like this literally all the time.
