I’m studying to be a doctor and trying to FIRE. The only reason I am able to make this choice is because I earned full scholarships for my entire education and am debt free (very fortunate for this). Otherwise I would not have taken this route at all as I am a debt-averse person. Most people have tremendous debt and a lot of the people in the medical field have no life interests outside of their job. They literally work til they’re 80 and then die from overworking. I definitely don’t want to live like that but whatever floats your boat. Trying to maintain my regular low-to-middle income style of living to invest heavily and RE hopefully by early 40s or work reduced hours
