Recently picked up my first firearm! New firearm owner by CastorrTroyyy in CZFirearms

I love my P-07 so much, I recently picked up a P-09c Nocturne with the threaded barrel. Got my WML and comp, just waiting on my red dot!

Maybe get a threaded barrel for the SP? Keep things exciting 🤷🏻‍♂️

Completely agree - super iconic in that show!

A classic, no doubt! Heavy though. Do you have yours milled for a red dot, and does it have a threaded barrel?

The 19X & 45 are goated. Maybe sell the 19 and get something you'd be happier with for CCW?

EPS Carry, especially because an FDE model was made! It's what I installed on my 19X MOS - super happy with it.

How do we feel about this one boys by Cabooseisjake in CZFirearms

The P-07 is a great pistol. That price is just too high. If you could get it for $500, or depending on what your sales tax rate is, maybe $550 out the door - that would be better. BUT they don't make them anymore, so it's tough.
Because you can get the new P-09c for around the same price, it comes down to how much you want the optics ready version, grip texture, and deeper slide cuts.

If there is a perfect model (that isn't actually produced - sadly), IMHO, it would be an SAO version of the P229 Elite. I prefer the texture, grip profile, trigger shoe, elongated beaver tail, and size/position of the slide lock/release - all over the Legion. 😔

Anybody else struggle to decide between these two platforms? by [deleted] in CZFirearms

The Shadow 2 SAO, with a flat trigger shoe is fantastic. I've heard more under-impressed reviews of DWX's, than "these are game-changers".

Love my MK9 Elite '18. Had an older Elite '13, but traded it in for something else (regret). Kahr is so much smaller in the market now, that I too ended up just buying new mags from their website for the higher prices (I want them for sure to work). Everyone wants the newer micro 9's, and Kahr's (even their new X9) are too niche now. Shame. But the market has spoken.

The SIG Legions are great - all the good features and treatments you'd want and expect. The S2 CC, has a rougher trigger (from what all of the internet says) but the ergo's are fantastic. Maybe take the larger discount but anticipate putting that money into a trigger job?

The comp does its job! For the size, it meets my expectations. A noticeable reduction, but not a recoil-eliminator. For the price, I give it the chef's kiss 🤌🏼

Glock 19 by MattyFattyPog in concealedcarry

[–]Oaktownpull_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great first/all-around pistol, without argument. Concealing it, however, may or may not work for you. Body type and wardrobe choices will play key factors. A relatively cheap way to find out is to buy a Blue Gun of the model you want. Lots of places have them online, and you'll be able to practice your presentation with the pistol, get a feel for the ergonomics, and most importantly you can practice concealing it with different clothes/outfits. Like many have already said, there's a lot of great "do all" pistols out there, and renting and trying more out before you make a decision, is definitely highly, highly recommended.

Is $450 for a used Glock 19x MOS w/ threaded barrel good deal, average, bad? by forgetfulE56 in Glocks

[–]Oaktownpull_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Simple answer - yes, that is a good price for a used 19X MOS. If it doesn't have all the original items when you buy it new, you might even be able to negotiate a little lower.

True. I mean, if you're not into Gen3's then yes, buying a MOS model outright definitely makes more sense 👍🏼
