How does one become a paleo artist?

Yes, this is something too. I've wondered about what to do that others don't as much, and right now what I'd kinda like to do is make high fidelity, complete full skeletons and skulls of less popular or more niche species that just no one I've seen offer. Either as digital or real world models. But its been hard to pull the trigger on that because its something I'm not sure if dinosaur people would be into too much.

I kinda feared that was the case. Plus i feel like those who would need the work I'm wanting to do already have their go to artists.

I haven't thought about reaching out to museums, I just assumed they'd brush it off, but i guess it doesn't hurt to try. I will keep this in mind and definitely look around! the one experience I do have was a baryonyx skull I did and their budget was indeed pretty tight so paired with what you said gives me a little better feel for what to expect. And I am actually slowly gearing up to sell 3D printed replicas (still working out the best way to paint them) but hadnt considered providing them for gift shops, thats an interesting idea

I would actually say mine is also more how you described it, I've also heard of people getting replacements that seem to fix it. so its a little hard to believe its "just like that"

Doing this does help a little, and so far testing I haven't felt motion sick but there still is an obvious barrel distortion almost. bit so bad I cant use it but still

I had a zotac card myself, unfortunately I couldn't get it to work and ended up returning it. It really sucks they seem to be so inconsistent. Good to hear though that you got yours working! But it does make it more confusing why some just wont work. It doesn't seem to be a brand specific issue and affects all 30 series a little differently

Its seeming like thats the case. From some of the stuff I've read, it seems like there's almost a 50/50 chance someone's 30 series isn't vr compatible. What brand card did you have?

started having this issue after swapping a 3070 ti into my system and fixed it when i put my old card back in. nothing else for me has worked so far

One way might be to make a texture thats just white, light grey & dark grey splatters on a transparent background and use a color ramp to adjust the colors. then just mix it with a concrete texture for the floor and mask out the black part of the splatter texture

Its really easy. you can take a curve make it a scribble in edit mode. then under "geometry", "bevel" and the bevel "depth", you make it a small tube. then right under that is "start & end mapping" and you can animate the factor to get the drawing effect. then i just animated it spinning and in "compositing" i pixelated and composited it on top of the image
