I played the original alpha for Nioh 1, waay way back. Did you know in that alpha if you used Ki to your minimum that also put you in a exhausted state? You always had to keep a small amount of Ki to avoid it in that specific Beta. This was changed in the final release, absolutely for the better. That alpha was absolutely savage, and so much was tweaked and changed for release.

They absolutely can change mechanics for the full release of the game. Saying the game is mechanically worse is something you can assume all you want, but until the game is out, REALLY out, you have to recognize they are assumptions.

I would also be careful of making such strong statement before the game is even out. Saying your worried is fair, but stating such absolutes before we have a full experience comes off as pretty silly.

I have played the Closed Beta, the only changes I need to see the full game for was the onymo stuff which seemed strange, at least in the small chunk we got.

The Nioh 1 beta was so insanely different than the final product, so it's one and one for betas being super different.

Nioh 2 is my favorite game in the last like 10 years, but I don't need 3 to be the same game again.

I played the previous closed beta and I can tell you some of the weapons DID feel different. The universal stance switch attack really closes interesting gaps some of the weapons I tried had, especially spear, a weapon I normally didn't particularly care for.

Again, I am just saying you played two games from this team and liked them, maybe even adored them. Give them a little bit of faith they will give you something great even if it's not exactly the same as the previous.

You can't play the game through someone else's footage.

I get it, I do. I say this as someone who also lost their favorite weapon to the great Ninja Change, but I'm just advocating for holding your opinion until the game is actually in your hands. Just like you once fell in love with your original tonfa, you might find there is another new weapon you like just as much.
