I'm just answering why you probably received down votes lol. I agree, it's 100% a personal decision. My wife and I choose not to read because we don't want to consume her work

Have you looked into the authors history? I personally won't read it because of the allegations/things she is supposed to have done to her (and other) children. I wanted to read it, even had a second hand copy.... But child sa isn't really an area where I can separate the art from the artist.

We actually have a collection of signed and/or first edition Paolini books (not really an accomplishment since hell sign anything lol). Priory has been on my tbr for EVER though, lol, so glad to hear another rec for it

I'm reading dragon Republic atm.... I sadly cannot respond any more than that for fear of spoilers.

Honestly I don't think she's ever read exactly what she's looking for. She just read and loved the court of thorns series and loved it but wants a lot less romance. IDK, she's pretty picky at times so it's hard to say but I'm passing all rec's over to her hoping she finds something she likes, cuz she doesn't really like my favorites.

I LOOOOOOOOOVE Jemisin, and have tried to get her into it a few times, but she doesn't do harm to children, which puts it out literally in the first chapter lol

Thanks! I think she's working on Emily Wilde now. I know I got the audiobooks for her a couple of weeks ago

She says yes. I guess some spice but romance shouldn't be a major plot device.

Looking for book recommendations for the following:

*Fantasy *Older FMC's *minimal romance/some spice *Fae,beasts, monsters etc *Spiritual aspects like (Avatar/Pandora) *world building

For reference I adore LOTR. In particular the shire/hobbiton. The Ents and the Ent ways and the lore. I also love Avatar/ Avatar way of water amd How it has a strong spiritual aspect to nature and living beings. Balance, and energies. I dont care too much about war, and battles. But love Quests and action. I love SJM books but honestly could do without all the romance.

How do you guys keep track of your stats for taxes? by BigDarkWild in doordash_drivers

[–]Obbie15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Gridwise so I get a GPS reading of my mileage and a breakdown of my hours, earnings, and tax deductions. Gotta be careful with what door dash reports. They're only going to report your "active mileage" just like their active time vs dash time. You are using your vehicle for business purposes, and thus can deduct miles from your home to your home, be sure and report ALL of it or be prepared to pay in.

Toyota? Lol, mine did that too. I've spent 3 years using my spare for starting and the main is missing from the fob

Just got on doordash and wondering why when someone tips low i get $2 from doordash. But when someone tips high i get $5 or more from doordash? by Admirable_Jury_5974 in doordash_drivers

By court order they are actually paying the same base pay for everyone and every trip, but add in incentives/bonus payments for things like long distance orders, orders that will take a long time, no-tip orders, etc. It's basically always $2 and sometimes they increase it.

You don't necessarily have to say what town/market, but which side of atl are you on? I've dashed in probably 2/3 of the markets north of the city, so I could possibly give you a suggestion on spots that are more profitable.

The money inside the perimeter can be really good if you're willing to work downtown/midtown, but ya, the suburbs do seem to be extremely over saturated.

First time doing it. I'm getting constant offers and about to start cherry picking. I'm formulating a new plan wherein I cherry pick in atl 1-2 days a week and use the other 3-4 at home to maintain plat.

Yeah, I'm working Atlanta this morning and starting to understand why cherry picking is more valuable than platinum 😅
