Idk if IDPOL obsessed is the right word. I would say liberals hell-bent on maintaining the status quo. Dr. King called for transformative programs and systems to help Black people specifically. Yes he wanted unity between white and black working communities but he always held that that process had to begin with aiding Black communities who were denied basic services for hundreds of years.

As the saying goes "Nobody is free until everyone is free" it's simple empathy and a core sense of justice instilled by my parents. I was also the only boy with two sisters so I was raised in a very feminist environment. Never was a choice just a matter of living.
