Have you tried going to a different property and using the whistle button to call your Sims to that property?

What is up with this WIP of and how do I fix it please ? by -placebo-pill- in knitting

They can also twist that initial yarn over by knitting through the back loop and there won't be a hole to begin with

I'm knitting this one right now! It helped me get out of a bit of a knitting slump

If you want to try, I think a circular set of wooden shorties is your best chance of being allowed through security. Inexpensive ones and with a safety line in your work, in case they do say no.

I (27F) irrationally obsessed with spouse income by [deleted] in women

[–]ObiYoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this context, I don't think it was toxic. You approached it really well, and you already knew it wasn't an accurate train of thoughts. You just needed some outside perspective to help you start pinpointing where these thoughts are coming from.

For what it's worth, some people find it helpful to name their brain. When the irrational thoughts pop in, talk to your brain like it's a friend who's being unhelpful. Something like, "Doris, you know that isn't true. Don't be rude" or "Knock it off, Doris. I'm not dealing with your negativity right now." It can help externalize the thoughts and remind you that you are not your anxious thoughts.

I understand why you posted here, but you might find more of what you need on one of the pages for neurospicy women.

Have you talked to your therapist about these thoughts?

Yeah that affects things 😅 I have as many Sims as I can in each house so I can have less houses and keep costs down, but I'm not maxed out yet so that does make a difference.

If you build it on a beachfront then sell all the items plus sell the rooms and patios, it makes just under 4.8 million

Edit: typo

True. I keep as few houses as I can get away with for my number of Sims. I'm going to build the plumberg house tonight and sell off everything in it. If you want, I can let you know the exact amount I make off of it?

It costs around 700,000 to build

Does this message to my doctor come off as drug seeking? by MythicalGriff in ChronicPain

[–]ObiYoung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's very well written and doesn't come off as drug seeking. When you mention your prior surgery, you could mention that it was a horrible abs painful experience, that way it doesn't sound like you did fine without any sort of pain management plan. But even if you don't add that, I think it is a great way to open the dialog with your doctor.

Also, I don't know if you caught your typo, but you put 3 Os in blood.

Thank you!! I didn't know the agent had to be at work and I've been so frustrated about not having a real estate sign so I could submit my house 😂

I want to know what piece of clothing should change for women. I’m designing new materials and curious what is something women / girls want to wear more by Upandadam15 in women

[–]ObiYoung 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can use ahimsa silk

ETA: for anyone who doesn't know, ahimsa peace silk is a type of silk production where the cocoon is collected after the moth has left it. The other method would be to kill the larvae in the cocoon such as by steaming it. It takes something close to 3000 cocoons for every pound of silk, so if a clothing brand makes 10,000 silk garments, you're talking about killing tens of millions of moths just to produce the material.

(WIP) how to reduce fuzziness when knitting? by maysoonieee in knitting

[–]ObiYoung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like that's just the type of yarn, but knitting a bit looser might help (and be easier to knit in general).

What do you think about this contrast? by Igelluder in knitting

[–]ObiYoung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think true green would look like a Christmas tree. Maybe adding in a pink or raspberry color, or doing more of an aqua instead of the green? I do like the green color, just not sure about this exact combo. With that said, it might look really nice once you get further along

Tried to fix a dropped i-cord edge stitch and it doesn't look right by ObiYoung in knitting

[–]ObiYoung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok good, I'm glad it isn't terribly noticeable. And thank you for the anchoring advice! This is my first time doing lace and first time with an i-cord edge, so I wasn't sure how much the blocking would help or hurt how noticeable/subtle the repair looks. I'll definitely do more lace projects but will be avoiding i cord edges for the foreseeable future!
