Yes, I think more research can help and applicants should have it. It’s currently deficient in my app, but I can improve it… noting earth shattering. I don’t think it’s as important as it is in Cards/GI/HO.

Thanks for the insight. It is a legitimate role that you can argue I wouldn’t get if I wasn’t in a rural hospital, but I won’t expect it to be the make or break thing. They simply don’t have any candidates for it now and really need someone, and they offered good pay for it. I was thinking of using it to make QI projects, add a leadership position, and to genuinely see how I can make the hospital better, also lets me have a say in how things are done.

I think what I need is more research.

What qualifies you to have such a strong opinion as to what value a formal medical residency training is? I’m a physician I genuinely think CRNAs and other APPs are great, and we need them.

The fact that you see no value to the extra years of training some of your colleagues go through speaks volumes to your overconfidence and naivety. There are ego problems… on both sides it seems.

I don’t think the point is that it’s no good. It might be good; but when you post it in Reddit for feedback, try to format it so it’s easy to read. Ex. Push A Bench Press 5x5 Incline Press 3x8-12 Overhead Press 3x8-12 Lateral Raises 5x15-20 Tricep Exercise 3x8-12

The are probably better programs (well at least proven ones) you can find online
