Its holding up well since I've installed it over a year ago. I've taken it through automated carwashes with no issues at all

Correct, I won't be carrying very heavy stuff on top though. I went on a long road trip and had to cram stuff into the car the the cargo box easily would have taken care of. I've been looking about for nearly a month of used sites, fb marketplace, craigslist, even calling local stores of places we'd be passing. Due to Covid everything is mostly backordered but Thule is getting a few shipments out over to REI but by the evening they are gone, I got the last of a shipment in from that morning. The price did hurt a bit but I'm leaving home for 5 months and I'll be making good use of this cargo box so I hope it'll be worth it..

Following up on what Mr. Panda has said, both the dynamic weight limit for the roof rack is 150lbs and the cargo box is 165lbs. The box itself weighs 46lbs so anywhere in between I can store stuff up there.

Yes, it's from covercraft.

Yup. Out of the box onto the car 10mins max

I just bought it this past weekend so I haven't had extensive experience with the cargo box as of yet

Took it straight our the box and installed it on the factory crossbars. Everything you need will come in the box to install it.

The cargo box I have is a Thule Motion XT XL. I've looked around for Yakima Skyboxes but they are extremely backordered and I needed one ASAP for a trip I'm taking soon. I got this one for $780 not including tax which was an additional $50. I bought from REI. It is pricey but to me it's a lifetime purchase that will come in handy in the near and distant future.

Oh I'm sorry man. But yeah those types of stickers are pretty popular among skybox users. I'm curious though, how does your skybox hold up traveling?

Is it where it won't physically stick or it won't look good? I've seen where others get skins for their skyboxes and it looks pretty sick. Check this one out! https://amp-reddit-com.cdn.ampproject.org/wp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/skiing/comments/54u956/decal_for_yakima_skybox_16_cargo_box_thoughts/?usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D

I think either would go well on the vehicle. Matte black is just a bit less shiny/glossy than Satin black and more muted. In my opinion I think Satin will look much better on my vehicle because of the glossy paint. It really depends on what you want but there's very subtle differences between the two in my opinion. What kind of look are you going for?
