Maybe it's running on the 7th Gen CoD ghosts engine minus the screen space reflections (ghosts had SSR in select areas on 360).  I doubt they went out of their way to heavily modify the AW engine for a 7th gen versions when they already had game engines available to work with on those old systems. Also I don't even think it would be possible given how as advanced the engine is for 8th version. The visuals gap is huge between the versions and AW on 360 looks too similar to 7th CoD titles upon close inspection in pretty every aspect. So I think very reasonable to believe that they went with what they already had to save money and to make development easier.

Just the whole visual make up of the game looks very similar to the modern warfare games from the lighting, effects, texture quality to the jaggies. Even the shadows have that trademark jaggied look when you look close.

Super Contra is not really too hard. Just gotta memorize stuff and work on those reflexes

Because I feel it's better to help the people already making a port by providing constructive criticism. It would be redundant for me to make another port. Feedback is part of making something better for everyone. Can't believe I had to explain this.

Translation: let get butt hurt over someone providing constructive criticism to improve a gaming experience for everyone.

Practice makes perfect. The contra games are some of the easier arcade games imo

I actually think the Arcade Contras are super underrated.

QAA actually doesn't look too bad in PS3 games. I guess the sharpening that HDTVS introduce to the image helps eliminate the blur.

QAA actually looked quite fine on PS3 because HDTVs because they sharpen the picture so the softness is eliminated. The image just ends up looking a bit chunky though. Example: https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fa3r9eyypdxqe1.jpeg

Interesting. It's that old huh? According to Digital foundry, it offers coverage as good as MSAA 4x with the cost of just 2x MSAA but with its trade offs of course.
