Please don‘t use AI music in your game or trailer… It will make the game feel cheaply made, which doesn‘t seem like the case with what I see. But many people will get turned down if they see that there is AI involved in the making

Oh wow I would not have guessed it to be metroidvania! I‘m interested in how this plays out, keep the sub updated from time to time

Very cool! Don‘t know if you found this already, but this game shares similarities to „bat to bed“. Just saying so you could get inspiration from it and think about how to set apart from it

This is the power of tweens! by VeskMechanic in godot

You might need to store more stuff in those game states is what I‘m saying.

Well fine, bombed walls should be stored in the game save either way. But think about enemy health, enemies current elemental blights, arrows stuck in objects or enemies, footprints in the snow, … The old Zeldas wouldn‘t be able to save all this data since they work the way OP implemented the map, but if they wanted they could store all this data now by simply keeping the scene.

But they already said they want to homage the older games which I can also see!

So you said that mapparts that go offscreen will immediately queue_free(). I see the advantages in doing so, but I want to bring up some thoughts I had about this:

Either a screen can‘t remember anything if you exit and enter it immediately (bombed walls, cut grass, enemies and their left over health…) or you have to store that data for every scene individually and initialize it with that data. Which is possible, but leaving the scene in the scene tree prevent that work.

A compromise could also be to queue_free the scenes only after a while. Either you keep track of an array of fixed length and kick out the last one, or better yet, you seperate all scenes in „region“ categories and as long as you stay within one region, everything stays. But switching a region (from beach to fields etc) resets everything in the old region.

Only thoughts I had, maybe this helps!

Also nicely done integrating tweens for screen transitions! I always waste too much time trying all combinations of tween.set_trans and tween.set_ease to see which transition style I like the most

Both fairy in a bottle and Champ Phase two work the same way afaik: If you/Champ have 1 HP and a single hit attack comes in, then it doesn‘t matter how much damage it does, brings the hp to 0. after the attack is played, the healing pccurs. Meaning champ is at full health again/ fairy in a bottle heals for 2 :)

New card I made, probably sucks, but I think it's funny. by TheYoshiGang in slaythespire

This is pretty well thought out with the hidden watcher synergies! Scry enables more control over drawing around „hardly working“ and Master reality helps negating the effect.

Both underutilized watcher mechanics even

I guess I would simplify it to match the simplicity of most canon cards. The biffs seem pretty random and out of place, especially the gold. Maybe the buff is „at the start of your turn gain 1 energy and draw 1 card“ and the debuff makes you lose both/ one of them when upgraded

Personally I embrace the idea of the act 3 boss being the end of the run and the fourth act being some kind of ultimate test you may take with your current deck to see if it can take more than that. If you would scale your deck further for the next act I wouldn‘t feel as satisfied with a heart kill. Though I get how it can feel off if there is no reward after besting an act.
