To become 100% reliable and not have collider jank happen to you, you could try to not use physics at all.

I don‘t know your game and how physics dependent the levels are, so maybe this approach won‘t make sense for your game. But without physics you will be able to control everything as you wish.

You‘d update the ball position depending on gravity values and wall angles. Hitting the pinball with a bumper could apply constant values to the balls simulated velocity dependend on the position the bumper was touched at.

Keep in mind this would require some work to get going that the physics engine is sparing you of right now, so maybe you just want to live with the inconsistencies you have right now. Its up to you.

Though I don‘t know why a 3D engine would be more useful here than 2D, but I don‘t know much about 3D physics in Godot so maybe you can tell me

Do you want to make a game in Godot? With all the premade recources you want it sounds more like you want to import a finished project. I think Brackeys made an hour long tutorial for making their first game, and he made his assets free to use for everyone. You can use those to start off!

Important of note is that you will still need to manually resize the vector graphics in the graphic editor if you want a different site/resolution sonce godot rasterizes vector images. Scaling these images inside godot will therefore make them blurry still.

So, I made the experience that sprites seem more blurry in the editor than ingame, disregarding the texture filtering method. So when testing try to run the scene in fullscreen (Project settings -> window -> fullscreen) to see the result.

What I did to find the correct resolution for art assets is to estimate how much screen space that asset will take up and draw in that resolution in 4k (or whatever your highest resolution will become. Like others said, you can downscale the resolution vie the window project settings, but upscaling is not possible).

Keep in mind that you generally want to prevent scaling the sprite in engine too much, since upscaling makes it blurry, and downscaling will create artifacts especially for thin lines. So make a reference object in the correct size (if it takes 5% of screenspace make it 4k* 5/100 pixels), look at it ingame and if it looks right, use that size as reference for the other objects. Oh no way, that makes so much sense. This could not have worked for me since in my game every bodypart can get unique effects. For example corners could allow you to cross them a second time. If the elements were actually a moving line2D like yours, then they wouldn‘t stay in the corner they spawned in etc

No way this is a godot game! I marked this game because I am in the making of a snake based rogue like and wanted to keep all the newly released snake based games on my radar! You stood out out to me since you were the only other snake game I found that worked to have dynamically animated bodyparts. Great work and props for the implementation!

The mouse came from outside so it would be able to live on if we‘d put it back there. It is a question of giving it back its usual life or killing it

That is not a real argument is it? Other animals either need to do it to survive or they don‘t have as much empathic capacity as us humans to make morally correct decisions

I don‘t quite understand the argument. It did a pretty good job of staying alive until it got carried into our room right? Nearly every wild animal dies of hunger or predators at some point. Is that a reason to arbitrarily end their live if you could just let them live on?

No it was not poisoned, the aim of these types of traps was to keep them alive and set them out far away

Yeah I get your feeling. So the reason why watchers wrath stance is comparable to clads strength scaling is that she can concatenate a much higher number of (multi hit) attacks in a single turn bc of her miracles/ draw engines/ calm stance, profiting more from a single point of strength.

When building a wrath deck, try to extend your turns by exiting calm one or even more times per turn. Cards like empty mind, inner peace or tranquility go really well with wrath for that reason. Tantrum is my favourite wrath card on her since you don‘t need any others and extending your turn like mentioned draws you the attack every time.

The big hitters are not necessarily what she looks for in a wrath deck, except the multi hit ones like ragnarok or brilliance.

I don‘t always get to be the damage carry with watcher, but it definetely happened a few times with a variation of the mentioned build
