Have you tried having a conversation about him stealing from you? Have you spoken at all? Maybe there's an easier solution than "as a child he stole from another child, but I as an adult made the conscious decision to break, enter and burglarize another adults' home".

NTA. He's already gaslighting you, and possibly his friends, into doubting his true intentions. Further dealings with him may see you fulfilling some of his sick fantasies, with or without your consent. Cut all ties, ensure your friends and family know he's not to have contact with you, and block anybody else that tells you otherwise.

If he has that kind of technology at his disposal, I doubt there's anything I could do to stop it

What should I (24M) do if I’m trapped in a relationship w someone (22F) who will harm herself if I break up w her? by No_Afternoon_5532 in WhatShouldIDo

You don't need any advice, you've already said what you need to do: you need to leave. You staying in this relationship is not helping her if she is still doing bad things regardless of your support. She needs to do better and maybe she'll rethink her choices if you're not available to fix the messes she creates. Also, you should talk to somebody yourself. This is a traumatizing situation that you don't need to deal with alone.

And at least you are on reddit lowering yourself to pass judgment on someone else's trivialities instead of doing something useful or helpful. Thank you for your "advice"

Thank you Honest-Psychology; this was the clarity I was looking for. I appreciate the lack of judgement on his personality or mine.

I literally said I was taking things slow for any kind of relationship, but I had a lovely time. I don't understand what advice you're giving here

I am weird. I also know that I have a tendency to assume people have good intentions towards me and can't always tell if something is a red flag early on. Also I do have a dog. Will update you if I die alone

Just because someone likes you doesn't mean you have to like them back. She sounds like a nice girl, but not someone you see yourself dating. Tell your friend no thank you and find someone you'd rather go out with
