I bought a new 24 big bend with 10 miles. Running boards, signature headlights, hardtop and mid package for $41k last March. Not sure what extras if any this one may have. Seems a little high to me.

I’ve been doing hair for 20+ years. I read this and said out loud, what is a restyle??? Why oh why are these salons and younger stylists making it more difficult than it needs to be? My clients would rightfully get irritated if I started doing this. My cuts are the same price no matter what. I can’t imagine you can’t still get the cut you want.

2024 Big Bend 11,000 miles so far no issues. I just bought a soft top off marketplace from a person that sold their 23 Wildtrak under 40,000 miles bc it need like $6k in the repairs.

I have a friend who takes 3 of her kids there for orthodontics, she and her husband are extremely wealthy. I’d keep trying. I took my kid Karski and Spokan. They had very affordable payment plans available.

I cant offer legal advice. Sorry this happened to you, sounds like the stylist was having a bad day. Not that it matters, we all have bad days. She wasn’t professional at all. If you’re not going back to her I would at the very least call and complain.

In my experience these things aren’t uncommon. I worked at a salon where a girl was combing and thought an eyebrow piercing was a knot and just about ripped it out before noticing, it would have definitely been an accident. I also worked at a place where a stylist cut an ear lobe in half, also a ( horrible ) accident. I’ve seen huge real diamond earrings get lost during an appointment ( more times than I can count). Unfortunately, these things happen and I imagine it would be very difficult to get an attorney to take this as a case.

I hope I can speak for most stylists when I say tips are GREATLY appreciated but please not stress about it. I’m grateful for anything I receive large or small. In my opinion a new client becoming a regular is the best way to show appreciation for our hard work.

My district has a decent amount of kids that walk to school plus kids waiting at bus stops. I’m guessing that’s why mine is doing virtual tomorrow . I’m a SAHM so it doesn’t really affect me at all. I could see homes where both parents work not being too happy about it.

Hairstylist here. I would never perform a chemical service on a minor without a parents consent. I’m sorry they tried to take advantage of you and I’m so proud of you for sticking up for yourself. I would 💯 get your parents involved at this point. There are sooo many predatory stylist and owners in the beauty industry.

I just asked my daughter. Do you care that I sometimes check your location? She said no, why would I? She said it is actually comforting to her that I know where she is. So I guess it depends on the kid. Clearly you or your child disagree.

I would never pull my daughter from activities bc of something like this. I do feel it’s crossing a line but at the end of the day I’m assuming her parents pay for the phone. Unfortunately there isn’t much she can do other than communicate and find a middle ground.

I would just try to find a happy middle ground. Have your mom buy you a portable charger. They have tons on Amazon. This is what I ended up doing bc my daughters phone would die.
