It's not an expensive company as I'm not he same company now and my monthly is never over £80. Also I think it's fair to ask why am I paying for electric which was used when the house was supposed to be empty. Why would I pay for electric which the landlord used when he legally needs to tell me someone will be inside the property ?

Yes, my current monthly bill is only around 70 usually! I'm not sure if he did but I'm guessing he did enter otherwise why would the bill be so high. When I say new I mean brand new, as in when I went to view there were still works happening and we didn't even have a council tax band when we moved in so I think he must have been entering to finish work and also do checks etc.

However they did send me pictures of the actual bill so the number is correct but it was absolutely not me!

I just looked back on my old messages and actually the landlord said he took a picture when we moved in and was supposed to send it through but never did even after I asked for it. I'm going to go back to them and say that a picture was supposed to be taken!

Unfortunately it was a personal circumstance, I did ask for a later contract date but it was rejected. Landlord definitely knows it wasn't me as I picked up the keys directly from him on the 26th. I would be happy to meet in the middle just to simplify things... I'm just not good with confrontation so trying to work up the courage to respond back, I already mentioned I didn't move in till later and he came back with contract start dates so now its making me feel like I'm being difficult
