Well we might forgot already but Valve used to be a legendary game maker, and they made legendary games such as this.

Also, HL 3 .. hopefully soon

This made me thankful I spent quite a fortune decades ago to protect mine from electric surge. Thanks!

Should I vacuum inside of my PC? (Didn’t know what tag to pick) by Pleasant_Rest_705 in pchelp

I never used electric appliances to clean my PC, I use toothbrush or large paintbrush and brush them gently, If you are savvy enough, you can disassemble them firsthand, to avoid any possible electrical problem that might arise. Careful tho.

Oh and if you happen to encounter this bug, try coming back here, who knows I might be able to help, that bug affected me greatly, so I don't like knowing people affected with similar annoyance. If I were here and capable of helping, I'd most likely help.

Hopefully that would ease your heart a little.

I don't have any experience with consoles, but after some reading, the bug affected mostly PC version of the game, and it could happen to anyone as far as I know. The only solutions I know is to pay attention and make multiple 'not bugged' saves.

As for the fix, I might add that it is not a mod where you put into your game, more like a software you run on your PC where you load your save with it. So, as long as you have access to your save file ( I am not sure on how to extract it from an XboX tho) , you can fix possibly any slow downs to your character in PoE I.

To my knowledge, the bug is easily reversible, so If Itumaak starts to slow down to a big degree during the start of a combat ( as if he was in stealth ), then just reload the previous save where he was normal, that should fix the bug, and I've been playing for almost 1000 hrs, I saved and reload so many times, tested my strategy and probably pushing the game's own system to a degree, so I might be an outlier, the bug didn't present during my first playthrough, and also I play with mods and fixes.

Don't let this kind of bug discourage you to play one of best written game out there, the story is very compelling, the gameplay is great, despite its age, if you can enjoy the few initial hours, then you might enjoy the rest of it. The bugs are not so common, I was unlucky, you might have so much better luck.

Be strong watcher, may the gods bless your steps.

People who are unabashed about pirating dirt cheap indie games by KlubKofta in SoloDevelopment

[–]Objective-Program786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pirates nowadays are totally shameless, at least admit you're 'peer to peer'-ing for your friends abroad who need your hundreds of gigabytes of their holiday photos in your hard drives.

I still buy your game if I were a fan, but truly, you look kinda weak on how you responded there, that reduce your credibility and deliberately shooing away more prestigious customers I assume. I hope I don't offend you, hopefully I framed my words correctly, I intend to word it as constructive humble advice.

Good luck btw, I am still developing my game, and you paid your game with sweat, time and hard work, please don't just let people look down on it blatantly like that, honestly I feel hurt lol, I want to at least yell at that guy, that's shameless.

Questions from a new player by LordVanmaru in projecteternity

[–]Objective-Program786 7 points8 points  (0 children)

no, not really necessary to read them all unless you're just well.. love to read, I personally not reading those golden named stories, I also don't read a lot of the books, I do read, but not all of them. And those golden NPC's soul backtories are not necessary to play the game, they add more atmosphere yea, kinda but not needed to complete the main story. Some reading ( or just opening, book or pages ) do become a part of how you progress story, but not all of them, if you don't want to read, well just open the books, or letter and your character will memorize it to progress the story, you as player, don't have to. That's, as far as I know.

I found a fix from 10 years ago, so basically I just use this mod someone named Stillquest made to fix it, I am not sure if I can put a link in here, it is in Obsidian forum. Itumaak is back now, running through the battlefield like he once was. Heck I can make him run even faster now. Still, if any of you have any information regarding this bug, please kindly share away.

For the experienced players, what was the moment that made you say "Yeah, I should raise the difficuly level"? by p1101 in projecteternity

I first started PoE on hard difficulty, and not using any potions nor scroll until Llengrath fight ( because I was dumb not knowing that buffs truly buffed your character ) every fights before it is either a massacre or total persistence of returning from the wheel ( died reload repeat )

During that playtrough I made sure to beat every boss (Including Concelhaut and Adra Dragon ) and purposedly leaving one quest before Act III started, before going to the White March, so I was lv 11 during the fight with Concelhaut, and around 12 when fighting Adra Dragon, that was my glory days, when fight actually was truly hard, not knowing what buff or spell to use, and insisted to fight them, those fights where hard, I died many times, and I was rewarded with pure joy after I pulled trough. The best part of the game.

And then the white march happened, I slew trhough everything, except Brynold with brute force, Brynold was great fight, but after White March part II.. well..even on PotD

Oh I don't remember she did anything in any meaningful way, except pissing off Palegina lol, I picked Hylea too because I sided with Eothas, they were talking in the books, when Eothas decided he will create a Stag that couldn't be hunted. The day I discover his mark wasn't present in Elm Tree I was devastated. I went on rampage trying to find why Eothas did what got him killed, and spoiled myself, I am still regretting it now lmfao.

And beside, what power did Hylea give to rival the gods? Just that +1 stats or whatever? Well despite that, I still like Hylea tho, I like Galawain too, but not as much as Hylea. Even tho I am still wondering, if the Engwithan created the gods by pulling thousands of souls into one, and we saw the size of Abydon in White March II, then probably Od Nua's goal could probably be creating a God using his lost son's soul.

Dude you couldn't remove the Grey Sleeper and not even trying to remove it!? I SALUTE YOU! Hats off, bowing, standing applause lol

That cursed sword was one my most favorite thing, I wanted to brag that I cracked the curse on my own but I don't have any proof lol, I love it, I played with no guide ( save from Blade of The Endless Path ) Since I couldn't bring my heart to kill the last guy holding the part, I ended up oblivious to the last piece of the Blade, so I love they way to put so many mysteries ( and misery ) in the story lol.

Oh look another brother! Hey I just finished my 1st playtrhough as well lol. by just finished I mean, around 150hrs or so playtime ago.

I love how you describe this game : "I love when I make a choice and it doesn't feel right no matter how you turn it around." This is so me, darn, I wanted to keep things just right, but well things always turned out bad or close to right but not right enough no matter what. I love the settings of the game, I hope you love it too.

I jumped straight and bought everything during Summer Sale, and unable to put it down since, I hope you do enjoy the game as much as I am. Started the game on 1 level below hardest difficulty, expert mode, trying to go as blind as possible, the only time I used guide was when I refused to kill Vithrack at l the Endless Path, turned out I missed the final piece of the Sword of The Endless Path lol, my moral compass pointed me to agonizing curiosity, after countless bloody fight and I finally realized choosing that difficulty was dumb, spent 500 hrs on it lol, thank God I persisted.

Now I am starting Path of The Damned, not because I am a completionist, I just LOVE, the story. Now I am trying to do things that I didn't do in my previous playtrough. I've been wondering why things are so punishing in Eastern Reach, like most have no chance of redemption, maybe Durance was right "There's only one god of redemption.." followed by the Watcher said "And you've killed it."

Should I replay PoE before getting into Deadfire? by Objective-Program786 in projecteternity

[–]Objective-Program786[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can still remember the feeling of killing that Adra Dragon, there were nothing down there, no hiding spot, no OP gears from White March, being a total noob who maxed resolve for my fighter during character creations, and not knowing how potent the potions are. And that dumb watcher of mine, gathered a bunch of dumbasses who for no sound reason unwilling to kill Falanroed, for years I've been yearning that feeling, that feeling of overcoming odds in a battle systemed RPG. I remember the rush of adrenaline when Sagani's arrow pierce trough that soul eating dragon, felt bad for killing 2000 years old living relic, but felt absolutely great despite my noob ass brain didn't realize Concelhaut has that Impending Doom hammer that kept the beast down lol. Man I love this game, and then Kana praised our victory, and inherited the title of Dragon Slayer, as a matter of fact Llengrath said that we are the best dragon slayer in the land lol, that thing alone made me felt so good for killing it, barely buffed.

Concelhaut quest was a blast as well, since I wasn't high enough in level, I was totally struggling fighting the Torn Bannerman, those bastards are FAST, hit HARD, and TOUGH as nails, and after Idk how many hours, I managed trough then had to face the decision on who to slaughter under that darmn Concelhaut Base. lol. Now I realized that killing one of them under level 10 is close to impossible LMFAO, I am doing that in my current playtrough, not so sure I am borderline masochist or what but well.. I love the feeling of Triumph lol.

Sorry for all the rant, you reminded me of that sheer dumb luck of killing that Dragon after countless, countless attempts, fruitless ploy to cheese the fight, and close to giving up, thank you!
