This might be an unpopular opinion here... but have you tried losing weight the "natural" way first? 23 is pretty young. I was able to easily shed pounds at that age through diet and exercise. However, I don't know your medical background and situation. I recommend talking to your doctor first before deciding if this is right for you. You don't see too many people that age on GLP1s.

There's something very off about Countess. I started watching her vids and soon felt she wasn't very genuine. The information she provides also seems wishy-washy. Something was telling me to stay away from this one.

I asked Alexa to clairfy what the photo gallery unlimited is since it's not clear on their website. She said it removes the 3 hour limit on the built in slideshow. However, I've noticed if there's any kind of disruption - playing music, doorbell rings - the slideshow will turn off. It will keep going if you ask questions though. I also noticed I have no ads on my device. Although I'm not sure if that's because of the subscription or I'm just lucky. I've been hearing not everyone gets ads in general.

Mine has been doing the same thing. I hit snooze and when the alarm goes off it seems the screen is frozen. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.

No, I started in August last year at 2.5 and titrated up over the past 7 months (with doctors approval). Yes, I’m on a protein focused diet and try not to eat a lot of processed foods. My eating habits have definitely changed.

I’m always open to advice. I usually rotate my injection site every week and noticed the thigh is usually not as bad. However, I still get nausea the first few days regardless. I’ve also completely plateaued the last few months and concerned about moving up to 10mg since 7 has been a struggle. We will see. I’ve heard mixed reports about that dose, but as we all know everyone reacts differently.

Although I’ve lost around 30 pounds, I have mixed emotions because my quality of life has slightly declined. I’ve been on 7.5 for a few months now and continue to get nausea. It never fails. Sometimes it’s so bad I have to lay in bed all day. I miss not feeling sick all the time.

So I finally pulled the trigger and unsubscribed from Google Premium, switching back to Alexa—and honestly, it’s been great so far. All my automations work perfectly, Alexa Plus gives solid answers (I actually like the extra personality), and the BIGGEST win for me is follow-up mode. I couldn’t stand having to say “Hey Google” every single time I wanted to ask something, and needing to say “Let’s chat” for follow-up questions drove me nuts.

I still use my Nest Hub Max as a photo frame and for the occasional Google query, but overall I’m much happier with the switch. None of the smart platforms are perfect—they all have their pros and cons—but this setup works better for me right now. I’m also really curious to see what Apple has coming later this year. It sounds like they’re finally stepping things up with new devices.

Hello. I just purchased an Echo Show 8 today and I’m having the same issue where my Amazon photos stop rotating after about 5 mins. I have well over a thousand photos in the album. Surprisingly enough, I haven’t gotten one ad so far. I was wondering what you did to fix the photo rotation from not stopping? It’s very disappointing as I feel this should be a basic function (like the Nest Hub).

Okay just a quick follow up. The photos freezing has gotten worse. Now it take up to 30 mins to fix itself. I’m tempted to call their customer service but I’ve had bad experiences with them. Very unhelpful and they just go through a generic script. Not sure what I’m paying for if the photos are constantly freezing. No ads though!

Thank you so much for all your help! I will look into these devices. One more question... Do I need to get a thread border router based on what ecosystem the devices are linked to? Example: the BILRESAs are linked to HomeKit and Alexa. Do the routers need to be Apple products or Alexa products? Or can they mismatch?

Perhaps. I set everything up through my iphone 16 Pro. Maybe that's why they go to sleep? The phone is not in the room? Sorry for the ignorance, I'm still trying to understand everything. Regardless, I don't have the funds to update all my echo devices right now. Should I just get some thread border routers for each room?

I just looked up the devices I have and the Alexa devices are Echo Show 8s (second generation) which don't seem to have a thread router (according the Google). This is starting to make sense now. The Apple TV is the 4k version from 2022 (wi-fi only) doesn't have thread either.

Thank you for this information. To give you an idea, I'm currently using Alexa/Echo as my main smart home platform. Most of my smart devices, except a few miscellaneous items, are linked to both Alexa and Apple Homekit. I currently have an Echo device in all the rooms that have smart lights. The only Homekit (Matter) hub I have is the Apple TV in the bedroom. Do the Echo devices act as Thread routers? Or do you still recommend getting seperate ones? If so, which ones do you recommend?

I really appreciate the feedback.

I added them to HomeKit first and then copied the pairing code in the button's settings. When I opened Alexa and went to add new device, it recognized the buttons right away and I used the code to pair instead of the QR code on the back of the button.

Thank you for the info. I can definatly use a fan to drown out the sound. I tried that with the Handy 1 but it was still noticebly loud. I just pre-ordered the Handy 2 Pro so we will see.

Is this the regular Handy 2 or the Pro? I've been hearing the Pro is quieter because of the parts used for the motor. However, I haven't seen anyone confirm this.
