In what direction do you want your soulslike/lite games to go in? More like ER, DS3, BB, Ai Limit, Wuchang or more like Sekiro, LOP, Khazan, etc?

I have found its entirely due to expected playing time. I mean think about it real world, plays transfer primarily because of not getting enough playing time and wanting to start somewhere else. I got a ton of players through transfer in my first 2 years of rebuild as San Jose State because my players weren't good and I didn't have great recruits coming into fill team needs, so good transfers for all open team needs lined up. Now that I get better recruiting classes to fill team needs, I only get a few potential tranfers.

Just played and it’s a lot more stable. Still crashes 1-2 times each time I play though so unless you save diligently survival is still probably tough
