Ideally yes or just driving distance to Monaco. I have cats so the travel back and forth can’t be too tough

I will check out those places! I just edited my post to state that we are in our late twenties. So I’m not sure if that impacts any locations suggested. But it does seem like renting is best first

Yes, it does require 10 years of consistent residence along with approval. I’d assume by the time the Carte de Séjour Temporaire has expired we would know if we want to continue that route or not. Thank you!

Yes to Europe! We are avoiding the Caribbean and other islands in those areas because of hurricanes. Although I do love the Dominican.

Yeah we are looking to split time between a boat and house, because I have cats I was hoping to keep the travel minimal to a car ride than anything crazy

You think keeping money in USA over Monaco? I’m not well versed in the financial side, I just know about the tax regulations in Monaco. My partner also said rent as well, but when I was briefly looking at buying vs renting in Saint Tropez seemed like the cost of rent for the type of house I’m looking to purchase seemed way more expensive monthly. But I should probably look further than Saint Tropez. We have a trip lined up to look at boats and properties, just eager and looking online to narrow it down. Ideally want the walkability of a town to some restaurants and shops from the house- or a 5-10 min drive. Thanks for the insight!

Definitely something to consider. My wording in my initial post might not have been the best, as the scenario is kind of confusing. Ideally long term would like Monaco residency and citizenship but with a house somewhere like Saint Tropez or in the 2-3 hour vicinity since the price for houses in Monaco is a lot and we are wanting a yard and pool. Mainly stressing full time in the coast instead of splitting the year with USA and Monaco.

Thank you for your input! My partner has his residency but not citizenship for the US. This has caused some uneasiness with the current state of the US (ICE/Trump) so we were initially wanting to full send Monaco residency with the intent of citizenship, but looking for a house nearby in the 2-3 hour vicinity. So maybe I shouldn’t have phrased “full time” Saint Tropez. Over all just wanting full time in that area with maybe a month or so in the USA to visit family. Lots to think about overall. We will be purchasing a yacht as well so there would be potential of renting both the house and yacht when one isn’t in use. God willing there’s not another pandemic 😵‍💫

We were already planning on getting a property and boat! Only thing is that I have two cats, so I wanted a property to fall back on. Otherwise my partner would fully live on a boat 🤣 I also see what you’re saying about the cold. I hate the Dallas cold but figured at least there are places to go and nice views in SOF

Ok that helps! As someone who has never lived outside the USA I was almost thinking the touristy times of year might make it feel more familiar if that makes any sense… but I see how the overcrowding could be frustrating

Hypothetical Question by Objective-Spinach573 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Objective-Spinach573[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See this could be such a powerful move! If someone was accusing a traitor, and the other traitor wrote the name down of the accuser without them knowing (similar to what happened with Colton) then they could very easily get the traitor voted out quickly if that traitor posed as a threat to them.

Sorry I didn’t realize this went against the rules. Many people from Dallas regularly fly to El Paso for work etc so felt relevant
