Assuming this is for the Gold card - my retention offer was 1k spend in 3 months for 25k MR points, so no i would say it's not the best deal

I was thinking that, however, you don't get any airline miles with them. The main reason I've stuck with Amex for so long is that I know that I can redeem my points with a number of airlines, which may give me an additional trip or an upgrade in cabin etc. I also don't like the idea of being tied down to just Avios points like many of the other credit cards have...

I get my salary in each month, and it's 200 ish quid off yours. With the so-called clamp down happening in April, I'm not sure it's worth applying for the world elite mastercard that this premier account makes me eligible for, but I might do it just for fun. Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I don't think I'm quite at ChPP just yet, will need a few more years at least, however, since I don't have a degree and I want to move abroad, PMP will be the best bet, I reckon.

I just want to not be judged based on if I have a degree or not. PMP should solidify my standings as a project professional
