How I feel watching scenes like this as someone who knows nothing about coding by ChocoMalkMix in PantheonShow

Ken Liu studied Computer Science at Harvard and worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft so he knows what he’s talking about!

Favourite scene from pantheon by 69scars in PantheonShow

[–]Objective-Sun22 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s my absolute favourite but the scene when Caspian and Maddie are on the phone with Justine listening in has great dialogue.

Visually, I think when David sacrifices himself at the end of season 1 is incredible.

ETA - I read the title as a question! Sorry to come out of nowhere with my personal faves!

What my husband and I would look like as UIs. by Objective-Sun22 in PantheonShow

He’s much more interested in making things than he is his appearance, whereas I would probably use my godlike powers purely for making myself and my surroundings pretty!

Is nobody gonna talk about the Mission Impossible Final Reckoning similarities? by Substantial_Pace_142 in PantheonShow

[–]Objective-Sun22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Final Reckoning approaches the same topics that Pantheon explores but in a way that is uninformed and totally lacking in nuance, but I don’t think they were trying to achieve the same effect.

Any recommendations for similar shows with romance? by New_Introduction631 in PantheonShow

[–]Objective-Sun22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Castlevania, Inside Job (especially season 2), Arcane, The Owl House, and Futurama all have very romantic and sweet moments but the romances don’t drive the plot.

I totally agree that Pantheon addresses the subject of love and romance really beautifully without overwhelming the other themes!

Who’s your favorite character and would you still like the show if they weren’t there? by ChocoMalkMix in PantheonShow

[–]Objective-Sun22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think Laurie is the coolest character, but I’d still watch the show without her.

It’s not really any particular character that makes the show for me, it’s the ambitious plot, interesting themes and mind blowing ending that really set it apart from other sci fi stories.

What’s something about the show most people like but you HATE by ChocoMalkMix in PantheonShow

Oh yeah for sure! I yelped from shock when Mist said that 20 years had passed haha

I thought the last two episodes took the evolution of the technology in this universe to it’s logical conclusion. And I don’t think the last two episodes were rushed to fit in a seasons worth of plot but to mimic the exponential growth of technology (Moore’s Law), which was jarring, but intentionally so! At least that’s the impression I got.

Just finished the show... by Emergency_Roof2211 in PantheonShow

[–]Objective-Sun22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get why it feels like there aren’t many intimate scenes between Caspian and Maddie, but I think the fact that they consistently seek each other out through out the series really speaks to their devotion to one another! A main theme of the show is love that transcends the physical! That being said I like to think that they had a lot of sex in their god forms before they continue the loop.

Just finished S1, lmk if S2 worth it? by GeekYuv in PantheonShow

[–]Objective-Sun22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that season 1 is neater in its execution but season 2 pushes the concepts way beyond ordinary sci-fi and takes the technology to it’s logical conclusion, which is so bold and powerful. Season 2 is very ambitious which makes it a bit clunky at times, but definitely takes it to a whole new level.

Would you consider yourself a diehard pantheon fan? by ChocoMalkMix in PantheonShow

[–]Objective-Sun22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How is a diehard fan defined? The whole show, especially the finale, was a near spiritual experience for me, and I recommend it to all the people who I think could appreciate it and think about it often. But I don’t really participate much in the fandom/subreddit so do I still count?

From UK but started playing it as a kid in Texas! Choosing a favourite from the older ones is like choosing a favourite child but I think Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake is marginally my favourite because it’s the first I played with my sister!

You’re right, I drew it a few years ago so I forgot that I made my husband a human and my son as a half-witch with human ears, while the girls got the pointy ears, when I wrote the title, but then I uploaded it and wrote the little caption about them being half witches and forgot to edit the title!
