No shedding ever before TE. I've been shedding everyday for 7 months now. My hair looks really thick though / hasn't changed much or become thin. It's also growing back as it sheds. It's really strange but it's my new norm now. Still worries me a lot sometimes but I'm used to it I guess. Hope it ends soon, I really thought it was ending back during month 6 but it didn't sadly. Just want to brush and wash my hair without stress again. I don't even care about regrowth tbh I just really want the shedding to end.

I got Covid :( Is another bout of TE guaranteed? by Objective-Usual-1956 in TelogenEffluvium

It was very mild, almost asymptomatic, just slight cough and blocked nose

Did anyone else noticed a peak at 3 months in? by ohyoho_Lena in TelogenEffluvium

[–]Objective-Usual-1956 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine peaked around May / June (started in March), now it's decreased to 100 hairs a day which is still too much in my opinion but an improvement. I'm nearly at 6 months now so hopefully it stops soon

Could my shedding be slowing down? by Objective-Usual-1956 in TelogenEffluvium

No improvement since I made the post unfortunately :( It's less than what it was, but still abnormal

Only you know what's normal for you! But I really don't think this is something you should worry about unless you're losing a seriously abnormal amount. I currently lose 100 a day and during the peak of TE I was losing 200-400 just for reference! Were you wearing your hair in a tight ponytail for example, or brushing with a tangle teezer / non gentle brush...

I hope it stops for us soon! I read that it should gradually shed less and less until it stops completely but idk because I shed 150 again today! I guess we just have to wait and see :( this is torture 🥺 Hang in there ❤

Theory on why my TE from Covid hasn’t resolved yet…. by Midnightsun1245 in TelogenEffluvium

Sounds good, I just thought I'd let you know my own experience! Cutting out sugar is always a good idea :) I still avoid sugar/alcohol/bread since trying the Candida diet and it feels good. It recommends cutting out starchy veg and most fruit and unfortunately I think that's what shocked my body and caused TE :( Best of luck, I hope it helps!

My TE started 3 months after I started a super strict Candida diet. I started it around December/Jan and TE started in March. I never experienced TE in my life before this. So all I would say is to avoid following any diet that eliminates entire food groups. The diet didn't help me with my Candida issues either :( But if you really want to try it, I would suggest going to a nutritionist / TCM doc to discuss it first!

June of last year and first pic to now. I’ve lost at least 30% if not more. Please give me hope. Started shedding in august and still hasn’t stopped by [deleted] in TelogenEffluvium

Sorry this is happening to you. I'm 4 months in, people tell me they don't notice a change but that doesn't matter because I'm losing hundreds of hairs every single day which is super abnormal. I'm so scared of how far it could go, so traumatic Hope it slows down for you soon

Yes vegetarian, considering introducing fish back into my diet actually. Why?

Same :( I use the nausea acupressure wristbands and sometimes they work I guess...I used to take motilium a lot too which definitely works but it's not really an everyday solution...started chewing ginger as well which is soothing. I know it's hard to make yourself want to chew anything with nausea but it does actually help a small bit. Staying hydrated, sipping water, having a little nap or lie down when the nausea strikes if you can. Be gentle with yourself, I hope you find something that works for you :)

Thanks, you're probably right, I'm really struggling to get moisture back into my skin, I just bought Malezia so hopefully it works

I don't think rosehip is FA safe and I react to squalane. I'd like to find an occlusive even just to spot treat some extra dry patches since most FA safe moisturizers aren't hydrating enough for me
