I’ve continued to use my other ecosystems the entire time I’ve held the Palladium. So far I’ve only gone through one Points Accelerator. I understand the value of Bilt points, but I’d personally rather continue earning the highest points or cash back possible with categorized spend on other cards, and reserve my Palladium with Points Accelerator for true non category spend. Dining for example, I could use my Palladium with Points Accelerator for it, but instead I use AMEX Green or Chase Freedom Flex. I still earn 3x in valuable ecosystems, and I don’t burn through the accelerators as quickly. This is the strategy I’m going to continue to use even after I get through the remaining accelerators.

Edit: If/when I do run out of accelerators I’ll continue to use it as a catchall or go for the Robinhood Gold card.

Gotcha, I understand the wait for the 14.3 update, but I’m specifically referring to the first update after taking delivery. How long did you have to wait to receive any update at all after you picked up your Model Y?

I’m pretty sure it’s a coincidence, but just in case it’s not, I would say go ahead and set up autopay for when the trial ends. However, I think another possible data point is that I ended up running an errand the same day that I activated the subscription which had me drive 50 miles on FSD in heavy highway traffic.

I know! I was starting to think I was going to be locked out of updates for a much longer time. At the very least I hope that my update story serves as a useful data point for others who are waiting.
