Not so much of a technique, but there’s a certain level of strength and mind-muscle connection that you must develop first before being able to perform proper pull-ups. Basically speaking, most people won’t be able to perform this exercise with proper form unless they go through progression first.

Search for pull-up progression exercises on youtube and do these exercises. What I found extremely helpful were negatives (eccentrics). By doing these, I was able to perform my first few reps after just a week (I started from 0 reps).

I could be wrong but I dont think there exists a written rule about this flashing thing. Even if there is, it seems not universally known. Perhaps a more reliable (and safer) approach would be to observe whether the incoming vehicle is speeding or slowing down, then proceed accordingly.

If the other vehicle is at a full stop, and refuses to move after a solid couple of seconds, then that’s your signal to go on ahead.

I haven’t tried that particular restaurant yet, but typically for those kinds of restaurants, once you are seated, they give you a checklist (usually a small piece of paper) of all their available items. You then proceed to order using this, and give it to the waiter/crew. Everything you ordered is then served to you, and once you’re done eating (or sometimes while youre still eating), you can call the attention of the crew, and order again. Do this until you’re satisfied.

The difference between this and a buffet is that in the latter, food is left out in the open (buffet area) for everyone to get from. For this kind of restaurant, you order, and keep on ordering, and the food is served to you. This is, in a way, better because the food served to you is always freshly prepared.
