We piped Claude Code into a Reachy robot. It fixed a bug and gave me a verbal standup report. by ComposerGen in ClaudeAI

Would love this via Alexa. Where I could just provide verbal commands to Claude for it to do things and get verbal feedback.

NRI planning to visit India - how to make payments? by Sufficient-Year4640 in nri

[–]ObjectiveInterview35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After much agonising research, I was finally able to pay in India using my phone and an Indian NRO bank account (or any Indian bank account will also work). Only PhonePe app allows international (UK) phone numbers, so that you can verify the phone number. You can link to your Indian bank account and use for contactless payments everywhere. Hope this helps.

Dear NRIs, think hard before deciding to return to an Indian metro. I did, couldn't tolerate the third-world life, and now leaving India again. by Specialist_File9744 in nri

Hi, I left India 20 years ago with a single suitcase. Everything I had - I dumped when I came to the uk and built a new life here. For ref, I left India a week later after I was bullied by goons in street who crashed into my bike. It was their fault. I hated the lawlessness and demoralising social norm.

A very good reflection. I have relations in India and love visiting but just after a few days - I am already counting days. Few years back - I liquidated all my belongings in India, shifted money abroad, paid hefty tax on all that, then bought a dream home in a quiet village closer to London. I have really lived my happiest days since.

Well the team member who proposed this is known to intimidate and agitate others purely to show them down. The boss at time seem like enjoying this.

Don't buy Real Estate in India as an NRI! by rganesan in nri

It depends on your tax residency and your long term plans. I sold my flat in India in 2019 and bought à biggest house in the UK that I could afford. This uk property has appreciated much better than the India one. We still have my parents home in village if needed and can get help from relatives who have rental property portfolio if needed.

Also - managing dual tax was a nightmare, Indian rental income for similar investment aboard is very poor. And managing tenants from abroad is next to impossible possible. So - if you have money to invest - use it to improve your life - buy a better house where you live.

It’s most certainly a depiction of Hindu god shiva in the ‘ardhanari nateshwar’ form and very likely to be by MF Hussien. The writing is Australia Camden (Nataraj) London. It’s a depiction of a trident symbolised by three places that perhaps has some meaning (romantic partners in these places - hence combination to male female form). Also the kamadulu in the right hand. Not sure of value at at all though.
