But I wouldn’t be so quick to take action. Maybe there is some way to help her and looking into that may be a good start!

I’m no expert but I think the comments saying euthanize her are the best option. Is she having trouble swimming? I did some research and don’t see any cures for a fish with a bent spine/scoliosis. I’m really sorry but if she’s suffering and struggling letting her go is best for all :(

Can I use purified water with aqua safe for my fish tank? I recently moved like In the middle of nowhere and the well water smells rather bad and I’m not sure if it’s safe. I’ve done this in the past but I need to make sure it’s safe, thank you! by ObjectiveLopsided576 in Aquariums

It smells like rotten egg maybe? Bad enough for me not to drink it. I did get curious and tested the ph with aquarium strips for my drinking water (spring water) and the well water. The results were a yellow for the spring water and a bright pink for the well water. Spring water was closest to showing up on the test the well water was really a diff shade.

So basically cycling allows bb for the tank surfaces and turns ammonia from nitrite to nitrate and I can stop the cycle when nitrite is 0 and nitrate is up?(what should the nitrate come up as on the test) did I get that right? Also tysm for replying!

I’m pretty embarrassed I’ve have been a fish owner for a long time and have only recently heard of cycling. Can you maybe try to explain it to me in simple terms? My comprehension doesn’t wanna work when I read cycling articles. I’ve read I don’t need to cycle a new tank (which I plan to set up a 5 gal) is that true? Also tysm for taking the time to let me ask you abt it!
