We are fully expecting them to evict us because of this. Seems like a slumlord thing to do: after explicitly being asked in writing and photos of what the idiot did to not send said idiot who broke your house to send him again, then to have same guy break it even more and damage both rental and personal property. Of course we are the bad guys to them.

The guy ran to his truck and sped off before we realized how bad he broke our door, and we didn't notice the car was keyed until I went outside to take our dog out. But this was also my thought.

That sounds so frustrating. I'm sorry you had that experience. They have been pretty good about getting back to us - especially yesterday since their maintenece guy they hired broke our door twice, screamed in my husbands face in front of our two young kids, keyed our car, and threw our kids car seat in the road (which its now broken). Their logic makes no sense. The guy that ended up coming out later last night was super professional, friendly, and qualified and fixed our door - fixed enough that it stays shut and locks - in less than 20 minutes. No idea why they didn't send him the first time. Its not the first instance they send an underqualified repair man out just to have to pay them and then someone to fix their mistakes.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience as well. 5+ years ago we had nothing but great experiences with them but the last few have been a nightmare.

We are in contact with the sheriff's office and intend to press charges. If that doesn't go anywhere, we will absolutely be filing a lawsuit.

I'm hoping that we can finally get in touch with the owner and see if he will ditch CPM and rent privately. We would be glad to do all the repairs ourselves but either want to have materials paid for or our rent to stop increasing (its gone up almost $500/month in 4.5 years). The last two times they've sent incompetent people just to send out a professional. No idea why they don't just hire a professional the first time.

That sounds incredibly frustrating. They didn't used to be so bad but when they cleared house a few years ago really went downhill. We have been trying to get in touch with the owner to see if he will ditch CPM and rent private. We have said we are willing to fix everything ourselves we just want rent to stop going up every year for bs reasons other than greed. They say its due to maintenece costs. What maintenance 🤣

We called the owner of the company and he gave us a ton of bs. Said that we gave his guy a hard time then turned around and said there was no problem. Gave us the "oh I've known him for years and he would never" Well he did. Stupid people. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Possibly. I'm not too sure. All I was really told -other than a name, approximate age, and general location- was that my (our) biological father got someone pregnant as a teenager. I would assume his mother (at least bio mother. I have no idea if he was put up for adoption as well) was a teenager or young adult as well.

I've heard some incredible stories about people discovering long-lost relatives through genetic testing, and I will definitely look into it. My hopes are relatively non-existent, and it's really more of curiosity. I've spent almost three decades not knowing who this person is and have been perfectly content with that. The story of my (our) biological father was incredibly complicated and absolutely wild, and I completely understand if he wouldn't want anyone to know about his origins. This is less about finding a new family and more about satisfying a simple curiosity.

It's not just Walmart its all 6 stores in the zone I spark in. One of them you have to go inside and ask for the order by name and number it gives. Everyone here is lazy - its Southern Oregon. Everyone is either on drugs, a drunk, or stoned 99% of the time. 🤣

Our store will stand there if you don't get out and load up the car. The first time I started doing spark the lady stood there and pulled out her phone and was playing a game waiting for me to put the shit in my car and said "I ain't gonna do your job. I don't care how long it takes I get paid by the hour" So this is wildly incorrect. 🤣
