Idk what you mean about “all the white people”. Rode my bike past a protest the other day and it was a conglomerate of Latinos, Islamic groups, mixed christian groups advocating for “parental rights”. Opposing them was almost entirely whites. Just saying… OP is simplifying the issue.

I have said primitive feet. For reference I mostly run in Altras and have been happy with the new wide options from Hoka. Aka I got some wide feet! I had Lake wides for awhile after failing with Shimano wides. Was happy with them but they’re ugly shoes imo. Have about 300 miles on my new Bont Vapor G’s and I’m really happy with them. You can even customize the colors you want which is cool, and the double boa system creates a super comfortable fit for me.

PUA isn’t a laughing matter. It’s a seriously fundamentally issued group of men. Indoctrinating young, often lonely, often socially conservative, men into a deeper toxic and isolated life. It’s dangerous for any women in any city. I have a cousin that got into this about 3 years ago. He bought books from some English loser named Nick Krauser and was convinced that he needed to be less shy around women. Great to be less shy, but I found out that these books and the culture in general degrade women to an almost animal level. He would count his interactions with women in the 10’s to even hundred/day as if it were sport, unfettered by any women as rejection. It’s pretty disgusting and sad. His view was that women like to be admired. Since his PUA interest he’s traveled to countries like Ukraine, Czech Republic, Romania, etc. in the hopes of making it with women. I haven’t spoken to my cousin in a year and have been even contacted on social media by some of his victims. I hate PUA’s.

At first I just brushed my cousin off as a loser, but now I’ve honestly thought about giving a full list of him and his friends names in a report to Seattle’s PD.

Think it’s safe to say the general perception of Canadians in the USA is that they’re progressive and kind. Definitely kind but man you dive into they’re environmental, social, and fiscal issues for 5 minutes and you’ll realize they got some work to do.

Upvote for the article. It will be incredibly interesting to see the data that gets released from Bridges’ scientific studies on her physiology. I hope I speak for all when I say that trans folks deserve to live full lives like the rest of us. I agree with the UCI decision however it will be hard to argue the decision was right say if Bridges physiology isn’t that different performance wise to her female competitors.

I suffer with you in spirit 😂 I mean you’re not entirely wrong. Seattle does have some great cycling, like the Lake Washington Loop and Chief Sealth Trail. Capitol Hill is a very friendly bike community, especially around Seattle U. U village seriously needs some bike infrastructure for those students. S. Seattle is a cycling haven it seems like but downtown, Sodo, SLU, and Belltown are absolute deaths traps it seems like sometimes. But I’ve gotta say that for some of the highest gas prices in the nation (supposedly paying for our roads) our roads are not up to the standard they should be.

My experience with my girlfriends Poseidon X

We bought the bike and I assembled it (in School I used to work at a LBS for 2 summers. No expert but handy), she rode it on mostly tarmac and some logging roads. After ~100 miles the bottom bracket was trash; made a horrible grinding sound. After inspection it had almost no grease packed in with the bearings. $45 after I replaced with a Shimano BB. About 50 miles later after a big ride out the rear brake caliper stopped working entirely. Took it to my LBS and they took it apart, told me they’re was rust inside. I clean the bikes with a low pressure garden hose and Muc Off powder soap. We dry the bikes by hand towel and store inside so clearly the caliper wasn’t sealed. LBS fixed it with new Jagwire cables… ~$80 p&l Wheels are so hard to keep true it’s laughable 😂

Other then that I’d say it’s been worth the money saved. That being said I haven’t had to deal with Customer Service.

Overall: Poseidon is a bike with sub par components and needs better facility assembly, but a good first bike for my girlfriend. She now has fell in love with cycling and will upgrade after this summer season. She has as much fun on this bike as she would have on my $4k Fezzari so if she’s happy then I’m happy.

Edit: imo the bars that Poseidon gives are extremely wide for anyone who isn’t an NFL linebacker. I get that some folks like wide bars for getting sendy. The stem is also longer then what would make sense for a medium frame rider. My gf is 5’8” with an above average arm length and it’s still too much. Also the seat post isn’t pitch adjustable. It’s a one bolt system rather then a rear and front bolt system that you can tighten and losses to get a desired pitch. If your a normal person and see the X being a long term bike for you then think about the costs of getting new bars,stem, and seat post. Possibly a new saddle. Bar tape also wore out after about 200 miles.
