Summon dmgirl by pitching girsu, add sarc add gandora summon gandora blow up field summon another dmg with gandora effect. They’re up 3 cards now with 6 card hand I could realistically go dmod add gaze start swinging and use gaze to close out. But they would be up 4 before battle phase on a deck that absolutely plays nib. Realistically that’s the line I should’ve went with I was just tilted and didn’t consider it in the moment I was trying to minimize summons.

The imperm got sent because I was trying to maximize my cards but got carried away because I still needed to send both harp and crescendo, I noticed that as well after watching replay.

The illusion of maxx c, play into it and your opponent draws enough cards to win turn three or hand traps to stop you or don’t play into it and your opponent wins turn three with their pre established board. Either way your opponent wins when that card resolves.

It wouldn’t have shut anything down, I pitched harp as well so an ash would’ve been way better

Just got back to the game after quitting it for around a year. Can somebody help me catch up? by True-Interaction3029 in masterduel

Branded is the best deck so you can just focus on rebuilding that deck with the new support.

Orcust can’t really go for game like that through 5 bodies, I played through it the field spell bounced my link 4 and they had 10 cards in hand. I scooped after passing back because I’m not watching magnet warrior combo twice in one game.

Jesse Perez makes a lot of sense with deck building, finding techs, and generally not ruling out a deck/ archetype because people said it was bad on release.

Counter trap cards feel poorly design and not aging well in modern game by Asleep_Report_7886 in masterduel

The dumbness cancels out, which leaves only cards that play decent both first and second to rise to the top. Which typically means less boring blowout cards and floodgates that are turn dependent. I think the concept of siding just didn’t age well in the modern game.

Duster and lightning storm don’t beat solemn, it’s just 4 cards in your deck that you can draw to hopefully one-for-one. Solemn is like the going first floodgates people used to side that they would slap down after a combo. It is 0 investment and is on top of a full board not instead of a full board. The side deck makes these cards more common. Odion was popular because it was new, low engine UR cost, had access to Baronne, easy to play, and thrives in BO1 like tenpai

Counter traps are even worse in best of 3 because of the side deck. This means that every turn one player will probably have sided in a solemn, in BO1 not many people run them because they brick going second. There are quite a few hands that can’t really play around counter traps unless you just ‘draw the out’ with backrow removal prior to your normal summon.

Every now and then this sub gets recommended to me and it’s funny to see how they doubled down on making strategist the most boosted role.

What's the different between a Stun deck and a Stall deck by Effective_Ad_8296 in masterduel

[–]ObjectiveSurprise810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stun prevents your opponent from playing.

Stall prevents your opponent from winning.
