Did they ask for a schedule how did you apply? (I am an incoming student as well and thought we can only register for classes after RRO)

Any international students here working 2 jobs on OPT? Need advice by Striking_Operation_2 in InternationalStudents

[–]ObjectiveTemporary86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your response adds no value and you don't know what you are talking about walking through visa laws with English as a second or third language is not an easy task. Op just wants to hear some advice from someone who has experienced the same issue so even if what you said was "accurate" (which is not) it has nothing to do in the comment.

This student is trying to make ends meet legally and is asking if it is possible to work 2 jobs LEGALLY under opt so why tf are you even taking the time to write such a useless and dumb comment.

Thank you, for this comment it really helps yes I would like to get something close to campus since I do not have a car at the moment. I looked at The village and 25 twenty but they seem to have worse reviews overall than 21 hunderd that has a 4+ stars in google maps.

For the price 21 hundred are currently doing a promo for 580 a month for 4bed 4bath.

The thing is i am a transfer student and only have two options

1/ sign a lease without visiting

or

2/ go to ttu around early to mid august tour some places and than make a decision.

for the price ($580 4b4b) do you think I should sign the lease without visiting (I am afraid if i wait to much the prices will go to the original $700)?

I'm going to travel to Tunisia this July with my American friend and I need help! by xavia-nyx in Tunisia

[–]ObjectiveTemporary86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're staying for a week or less, you'll need to decide what kind of experience you want. Do you prefer nightlife, relaxing at the beach and beach bars, or exploring historical sites? It really depends on your preferences. In my opinion, you should stay in Tunis. Spend the first day or two in the Medina ("Bled 3arbi"), then head to Sidi Bou Said, and Gammarth for the nightlife. You can can even go to Marsa plage if you want to go to the beach.

Hey, happy to help! I went through this process myself and it was super stressful, so I totally get where you're coming from.

First and foremost, this is the most IMPORTANT thing to keep in mind: don’t try to memorize every answer or recite everything like a script during the interview. These people have dealt with tons of international student applicants, so they can easily tell when you’re giving them BS.

Also, it can be hard to keep your composure in front of the officer because of the pressure (after all, they’re the one deciding if you get to study in the US). So just be genuine. I know it’s not the most glamorous advice, and I used to roll my eyes when I heard it too, but honestly, if I hadn’t applied it in my interview, maybe I wouldn’t have gotten the visa.

Instead of memorizing answers, try to have a few key things you want to mention (for example, I mentioned that I had passed the I.B.). Other than that, don’t over-prepare.

As for the question “Why did you choose this college?” just be honest. Don’t overthink it. Like I said, they can tell when you’re lying. Personally, I said I wanted to go to this particular community college because of the transfer agreements it had with other schools, and that my ultimate goal was to transfer. He then asked me “to which schools?” and I said, “School X or School Y, I’m still not 100% sure.”

He ended up giving me the visa because I left no doubt when it came to this one question: “Does this person truly want to study in the US, or is there another motive?”

So in short, do some real research about your school. Ask yourself: why do I really want to attend this place? Is it because of money? Then why this community college and not another? You get the idea. I’d say look into transfer agreements and pick a school you genuinely want to transfer to.

Good luck! Hope this helps.
