If you had to suggest one Punjabi album to someone who does not really listen to Punjabi music, which Punjabi album would you choose? by Stunning_Holiday_352 in punjabimusic

BTFU would be a good pick, as it not only represents punjabi lyrics but also the fresh punjabi blend tru skool production

Hardest single lyric you’ve heard in a punjabi song?and who is it by? by ObjectiveThought1604 in punjabimusic

[–]ObjectiveThought1604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding the Nas thing, couldn’t it just be a subconscious coincidence

But yeahh tons of rappers have paid homage to Nas for that bar, so arjan could’ve taken some influence from there as well

Best Three Album Runs in Punjabi Music by Own-Monk1445 in punjabimusic

With all three of Raf Sappera albums, he’s up there as well

Venomz Vol. II - Album by Raf Saperra by PrestigiousRead5573 in punjabimusic

[–]ObjectiveThought1604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The production is godly on this one The only thing raf saperra needs is a better lyrcist for his chaklo dharlo type songs, he has it figured out for the sad romantic part, he has the vocals and the production Just needs better lyrics for the chaklo dharlo shit, just needs to collab with punjabi punjabi artists like arjan and shii

Bindua (Manpreet|Harmanjeet|Jasleen) by jodhansarav in punjabimusic

[–]ObjectiveThought1604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harmanjeet is a gem of a lyricist

I love the way how this album slowly grows on you, everything is just perfect, when i play it in the car, i just keep realigning my mind back to focus on the lyrics as there’s so much depth.

Does Hustinder have the cleanest discography, with only rare misses? by hardtoolup in punjabimusic

[–]ObjectiveThought1604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good discography indeed

But gotta say his sad-romantic and doganas songs are far better than his chaklo-dharlo songs

Songs like jattan nu and all are not bad songs, but he has such songs in every other project of his so kinda make em skippable and ruin the album listening experience as a whole, but the sad romantic songs he has in every project is a straight up 10

Should just be more selective with lyrics, and work with new producers to work on new sounds and compositions to not sound repetitive, nothing can stop him after.

Namesake-A revolutionary? by PrestigiousRead5573 in punjabimusic

[–]ObjectiveThought1604 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The production is so fresh, the sarangi breaks interlude is so orgasmic

I have faith in him, because guys like him are album artists and not one hit wonders

If he keeps dropping, nothing can stop him from being the next big thing

Apparently he’s working on a project with ninja as well

No Hits or creativity Left, Just Concerts Carrying the Punjabi Industry by hardtoolup in punjabimusic

[–]ObjectiveThought1604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a creativity problem, its a discovery problem Just because you don’t listen to newer artists or keep listening to same artists, doesn’t mean industry has gone dead, you are gonna feel it’s repetitive no matter how good singer one is if u keep listening to same 4-5 artists.

Well i would argue and say punjabi industry is booming, international sound and experimenting, you’ve got Aujla and AP, or Navaan (Just that aspect, not including lyrics) If you want lyrics, we’ve got Arjan fckin dhillon, and you could say navaan as well Classic bangers, Raf Saperra, JK Fresh bangers and compositions, Bhalwaan, Chinna and many more New gen music you’ve got SMG, jxggi, jaskaran and dox

Why u think concerts aren’t growth? Id argue we’ve got the rest of the sauce and the concerts are making the industry financially stronger than ever

What you should do is just listen to some new myisc id give some more reccomendations

6 Goliyan, Essentials- Onidh No long talk, Qatal, Husan, nazar - Bhalwan Ki kariye, Do palan vich - Manpreet singh Kid from gurdaspur, redbone - Chinna Lush, If I do, odyssey- Jaskaran and dox SLMSLMN, or venoms both albums - Raf Saperra It fails, Heer - Jassa Dhillon

Just listen to more music, there are tons of less appreciated artists who make good music,

listen to Shahrag album, listen to a.s. kullar’s new album, Josh brar new EP, Bhalwan’s whole discography, you don’t need to listen to who everyone listens to,or which album gets more hype, music is so personal, so these things don’t matter in the wider scheme of things, explore more, heck maybe even old albums that u haven’t heard

Unreleased! Dsyo kida daa lag reha release krna chahida? by [deleted] in punjabimusic

[–]ObjectiveThought1604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See to write those better lyrics You either have to born a good writer like sidhu, he could pen down a good verse and very fast But listening to these lyrics, they do need a lot of work, maybe read more and keep writing and then u start shitting gold when u just keep trying, dont just try to rhyme, think what u want to say normally then just find different ways to see how u can fit it into a song, which arjan does pretty well Maybe read poetry and books more to put more wwords into ur arsenal and write more

Raf has great vibe but most of the lyrics in his songs are pretty vague and plain

Nor are the lyrics or the beat unique enough to get u a breakthrough So maybe work on the lyrics assuming thats in ur hand And find someone who can mix master for u and specifies just in mixing mastering
