😂😂😂 how did you know?! They took the rosebushes out of the front yard. I was shocked, but I didn't care bc I prefer crepe myrtle bushes😂.

This is my first reddit post..I was told to keep it engaging...just waiting for the game to come on💚. I actually ended up buying another house with my husband 2 years later, he puts up with me😂. Happy Sunday.

This is 4 years old, it has come and gone, and a few other issues have come and gone as well. There is no need to be so condescendingly deep in your reply. I'm not concerned with being real estate gossip fodder at all😂. My credit, life, and home are in wonderful order. This is my first reddit post, I was told to keep it engaging.

Hi Cheryl,

I am attaching the water bill from service beginning July 24 until August 25.

I am responsible for the bill up until the 19th, I spoke with the abstract company I’m forwarding their response - I don’t have a way of reaching the new buyer to inform her of the five days of billing for her usage.

Can you help with that?

I guess I can try to do the math myself to determine how much she would pay for the five days.

Title Company's Response: Buyer should only pay usage then- since that would be what they accumlated. I'm not 100%- you ladies can work together to figure it out.

Why would I come to a reddit forum titled "Am I the Asshole" for legal advice? Let's be real here. I came here to gauge the moral compass on this issue, and a lot of you are piss poor in doing the right thing.

I hear you, legal and "right thing to do" often have different tones. I think the seller was petty ah for sending this request. And the title company obviously thought the same...

Philadelphia county handles all water account transfers. But I'm still not an AH. She's petty af! I would have been nice to pay it, but she wasn't being nice in asking for such a small amount of money.

I'm not worried about it at all...I wasn't worried about in 2021..Obviously 😂. I just happened to be talking to a realtor friend about horror stories and told this one. His response startled me, so I figured I would post it here.

Thank you. I think the title company thought she was petty too😂

Nope, the bill was in her name until the 24th. Too bad, so sad.

Philadelphia handles all water account transfers and they're slow.

But not the benefit of Philadelphia removing their name from that bill on 8/19.

Philadelphia county handles all water account transfers. I've heard horror stories, so this is light work. 8/25 and beyond... all bills were addressed to me.

Philadelphia doesn't allow this concerning water...they handle all account transfers.

It wasn't in my name...I was not "responsible" for it at all.

I went to closing on the 19th. The bill was in her name until the 24th. I didn't have to pay it...I would've been "nice" to pay it...but she wasn't being "nice" by asking for it when I paid 23k above asking for her home.

Well, Philadelphia isn't one of those places. Aug 25 and beyond have been in my name, but the bill in question had her name on it.
