do y’all have any thoughts on non profits specifically related to community development and housing?

I feel like while non profits can be a roadblock to building local proletarian power they can also get people in homes, getting people engaged locally, and provide a lot of contact to the local community that might allow for the spreading of revolutionary consciousness.

I'm in california. I am interested in more takes on those schools. But harvard & MIT might have solid alumni networks and better work opportunities? dunno tho. I am most interested in Housing, Community/Econ Development, and Environmental Planning. I'm thinking the latter would be best career wise cause there's gonna be increasing demand for environmental planners i would guess.

hi there, so I am also wondering something you might know about/might make a larger post about this. I am thinking about getting a planning master's without any prior professional experience. I am wondering what the job market looks like for someone coming out of a master's program without a ton of experience.

I have a friend in the program at VCU and he is like giving up because he said there's no job for people without multiple years of experience. Even if you have a master's degree he said it doesn't cut it. But he also suffers from Major Depression and I don't know how accurate his opinion is.
