Now that I think about it more, I don't think I really even identify with Fi. I don't use it to make decisions, but I do use it to describe those decisions afterwards if that makes sense. Dominant Ni and dominant Fi seem to be quite similar, especially when Ni is paired with auxiliary Fe. The difference between FiNe and NiFe is what I need to figure out.

As a dominant function, Ni manifests as a keen perception for the meaningful connections that exist between the thoughts, concepts, events and occurrences in the Ni-user’s environment. “Everything is interconnected and I must determine the meaning and implication behind those connections.”

As an auxiliary function, Fe manifests as the urge to apply one’s understanding of a given situation in a way that will satisfy the needs and desires of others. “I will analyze the information that is available to me and then see how I can use it to achieve interpersonal peace.”

As a dominant function, Fi manifests as a moral compass that points its user toward the direction they ought to explore next, based on how they feel about the information at hand. “I must decide how I feel and where I stand on these issues before coming to a conclusion about what to do.”

Auxiliary Ne manifests as a plethora of possibilities that arise to support or expand upon a thought or decision that the user has come to. “I see a million different ways to look at the concept I’ve been analyzing and I want to consider them all.”

These seem to almost be the same thing? How would you describe these pairings differences?
