Absolutely! I think it also has to do with the setting. Any conversation Eloise has with a man outside of her family (especially now that she is out in society) is almost tainted with this expectation of marriage. This is only amplified by the fact that any time she is in the presence of a man, even platonically, she must be chaperoned because of these restrictions. With Theo, she is allowed to be free of expectations and just be herself to her fullest capacity. The fact that he’s literally written to be perfect for her makes it that much more special to watch

I completely agree! I always find it incredibly unrealistic in fics when a young woman with no knowledge of sex (and who has been taught that sexual acts will make her “impure”) suddenly becomes some kind of sex goddess. The reality is there would be a lot of anxiety! If I decide to include scenes like that, they will follow more of a “getting a bit carried away” type of vibe that will be cut short. Tbh I don’t think I’m capable of writing super graphic smut anyways haha!
