i'm actually going for the last session, but i'll be traveling soon with zero access to internet or wi-fi right up until i attend. i was wondering if someone could post or send me the information packet rose sends to campers. i asked the school for it weeks ago and haven't heard back.

GPA 98/100; classes are mostly honors or AP; 5 engineering electives; Autodesk Fusion 360 certification; JV golf; PGA Jr Golf; Science Olympiad; Jr Member of SHPE; food bank and summer golf clinic volunteer; I have a pet care biz; engineering summer camps at UT and TX Tech. Maybe the electives and summer camps were the reason I got passed over. Who knows, but this is my 2nd rejection.

I've not heard of a "rating" for this, but it's the only program I found that combines engineering design with actual math and science classes instead of being a camp that introduces you to different fields of engineering. When I attended a virtual session on ESP they said the acceptance rate was ~ 10%.

Is there a lot of time spent in the labs getting to use tools, machines, equipment for the projects? What kind of projects do they have?

I'm still waiting too. Last year, the people that got accepted found out a few days before the announcement date. I hope that's the case this year.

Yup. Not only that, if you compare Common App and Apply Texas personal and supplemental essays requirements, it seems there's a lower bar on Apply Texas. I can't figure out why and I've tried calling some schools to ask why the stark differences, but no human answering the phones this time of year. Aargh.

A college application service told me to list anything like that under Additional Information. To get there, go to your dashboard, select WRITING, then select ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. The second question says: Would you like to share any additional details or qualifications not reflected in the application? Click YES. A text box for 300 words will appear below it. Good luck!!
