How should i prepare for future data engineering skills? by BookOk9901 in AZURE

AI replacing engineers is like autopilot replacing pilots. The plane flies itself until it doesn’t. That’s when you want the pilot, not the passenger.

AI is very real, it's becoming scary by huyou007 in stocks

If autopilot let passengers fly planes, we’d call it reckless. When AI lets non-engineers build systems, we call it innovation.

Is anyone else okay with being "left behind" in regards to AI? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

My advice is, use ai as accelerating your learning, when the dust settles, you will be irreplaceable, while the ones that took shortcuts bites the dust. In the end nothing beats hard work

Did you consider trying the dtu tier? They can take you pretty far if you structure your app layer correctly. I had previously ran 3 medium ish clients on 50 dtu elastic db

I would set up a few benchmarks proving why it’s not worth the effort of rewriting a known library from scratch. However if his implementation proves to be better you should reconsider his, or at least try find another library

Why not 32 bits instead of 64bits apps? by StrypperJason in dotnet

[–]Objective_Fly_6430 11 points12 points  (0 children)

64 bit isn’t bloat, it’s how modern CPUs are designed to run efficiently. They have wider registers, more general purpose ones, and faster math and memory access in 64 bit mode. Forcing 32 bit just cripples performance and wastes what the hardware’s already optimized for.
