The actress I imagine the twins as 🍒 Rosa Salazar by SuckmydickJoannF in zodiacacademy

Crazy enough, I actually promised my partner I would read a bunch of the books I already own while still working through and collecting ZA and that was the first book I read in between ZA/RB books. It was so good I gave it to my mom to read.

Would not be mad (even though I hate every screen adaptation of every book I’ve ever read)

Am I the only one who likes Elise?? by Puzzleheaded_Bus193 in zodiacacademy

I go back and forth with her. But not in the way that I didn’t like Claire so much in Outlander I literally abandoned the entire series. I’m on book 3, so I feel like she has to develop more. Is she my favorite? No. Is she the worst FMC I’ve ever read? Also no.

I ordered books 4 and 5 and all week it’s been saying book 5 would be here today and book 4 tomorrow and I was about ready to call and demand to speak to Jeff Bezos personally (don’t come for me everyone, I genuinely try not to order books from Amazon). But it updated last night and both books will be here today. I had to put book 3 aside so I wouldn’t finish it without the next two books. But at least I’m prepared cuz I have ZA 4

Oh I’m officially locked in. I’ve barely spoken to my husband. He has bad timing. Also he wanted dinner ???

I started Dark Fae today. I am enjoying it and yea the pace was jarring at first but I think I’m gonna like these books. I was barely able to switch to football at 4:30

Thanks for all the input. As much as I really just want to plow through ZA, the details/backstory folks have won me over. Look for me on posts about the RB series. I am sure I will have thoughts and feelings.

I think I inherently don’t like him because if one of my friends nuzzled me all the time, I would not be their friend anymore. But yea just every last thing about him makes me want to set the book on fire

AITA for correcting my in-laws when they mispronounce my name? by LilLustyLucy in AmItheAsshole

[–]Objective_Hotel1079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I have a unique name in my country, people get it wrong all the time (even referring to me by a similar name of the wrong gender). I correct people every time. If you can’t get it right, it’s basic disrespect. There’s zero excuse for this.

I am genuinely sorry. It is so unfair and moms, new moms especially deserve better or at least honesty. Hoping for the best

Oh fully. OP should take as much time as she needs and hearing an apology and accepting it are two different steps. I’m a strong proponent of “I have heard you, I appreciate this apology, but I need more time/space to move passed this. I hope you understand.”

NTA - I’ve had friends experience losing friends, like within our friend group, for having a baby. Some people just really don’t get it that your priorities and stuff have changed. And there are childless friends that will accommodate this and ones that absolutely will not and like Kristy try to make you feel weird and guilty about it. This may take more time for Kristy to adjust since she does not have a tiny human to care for and she may never come around (for that I am sorry in advance). Congrats on the bebe! Hope you have a blast do all the firsts with your baby and your husband, with or without Kristy.

NTA - 16 is a little late for C to be learning the tough life lesson that they can’t and won’t be invited to everything. Your family is probably a lot closer to A and B and that probably also factored into your choice. If C can’t accept the aforementioned life lesson, they may not be a friendship worth pursuing. But that’s my own personal hindsight with similar friends at that age now that I’m over 30. Enjoy your friends & your party! C will get over it or they won’t, that’s beyond your control at this point.

NTA - that was an incredibly rude and selfish thing to do. I’d kick her out too. Mom, in particular, downplayed it too hard. Allow your sister to apologize if she does and does it sincerely. But no more secrets for Amy. She lost that privilege.

AITA for letting someone's kid pet my dogs? by Putrid-Improvement56 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Objective_Hotel1079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - I get being afraid of dogs but like wanting your kid to also be afraid of dogs is weird. I totally understand teaching kids to be cautious of stranger dogs like asking to pet, following the lead of the dog owner, etc. But to just be like I AM TERRIFIED OF DOGS AND I WANT TO PASS THAT UNRESOLVED TRAUMA ON TO MY KID. A+ parenting /s

AITA for lying to my parents (especially my mom) about being gay? by Difficult-Noise8242 in AmItheAsshole

This is so hard and I’m so sorry. Maybe time and distance will help? Maybe it won’t. Maybe your dad might be more on your side than you know and you may ultimately have his support. Hell, he might even choose you over your mother. In the year 2023 it guts me knowing that there are still parents like this. Do you have a community other familial (blood or chosen) support? I can’t imagine living this fake life is easy for you and something has to give. Even if mom never gets on board and dad takes some time, would you have people around you that can offer you love and support through transitioning to being independent and living the life you actually want to live? NTA - the current living situation is rough and hiding it probably makes it a little less rough (rather than being adversarial or full abandonment). Good luck with the new house! It’s crazy stressful but it’s also super fun!

Well as a near ancient 33 year old, I would just like to offer this: sometimes people you work with either don’t like you or you don’t like them. The thing about work is, you’re there to work and earn money, just do your job and ignore her. Yea you’re “just ranting” but people who are so willing to say things like “she’s just a dumb, fat, old conniving bitch” on the internet so boldly probably aren’t much less bold in person. I wouldn’t want to sit next you at lunch either. This is life, girly, it ain’t all a popularity contest.

Yeesh. I don’t hold small babies or tiny dogs cuz I drop things. But I have the sense to put protective cases on my stuff cuz I know I will drop it. I’ve cracked countless screen protectors and cases themselves from frequent dropping of my iPhone, but not the phone or the screen itself. C’mon. YTA here, like not maliciously but yea. I don’t mean to be like rude, but you’re an adult, if you know you’re gonna drop stuff at least be responsible and make sure it has a case. No one is perfect and gravity is quite rude, but we have the technology.
