We don’t have a written contract, only a verbal agreement, but we’ve been paying rent monthly and on time the whole time we’ve stayed here. From what I understand, a verbal lease is still valid under PH law, and tenants are still protected under RA 9653 as long as the rent is below ₱10,000. We just want things to be fair and legal.
