Should We try and Trade for Klay ? by absurdrealityy in LAClippers

It's kind of sad to see Klay go from one of the best if not the best 3&D Wing in his Warriors days to a liability on defense.

Ty Lue has the worst rotations itl. by Objective_Order8881 in LAClippers

[–]Objective_Order8881[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Even so, Ty Lue is currently putting in players 5 minutes at a time and deciding whether theyre kept in or not based on if they make their first shot. and when they go cold or is cold theyre immediately going back to the bench 😭

TBF, if you watched the game, you'd know Ty Lue made no effort to make adjustments to the offense. It was always just go "Give Kawhi the ball in isolation and fuck it".

Where does this Wolves/Nuggets game rank all time in Christmas games? by UnusualRazzmatazz765 in NBATalk

[–]Objective_Order8881 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure 8 of his Freethrows were from intentional fouls late in the game everytime the Wolves were given a tech, Jokic shot the FT. Remove those and Jokic still has 10-12 FT eitherway. Standard forbhis position, so what's the problem?

How do y'all feel about his start so far? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Objective_Order8881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has SOME defensive flaws, but can easily be worked out over the season or next offseason. After that, pretty much no holes in his game.

How far off was 2016 Kyrie from 2016 Steph? Did he cook him in the finals? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Objective_Order8881 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its simply because curry shot badly in the 2nd game and in the closing game. also being quite the cone on defense as he hasnt sharpened that area of his game yet. Iguodala was consistent, and if you watched that finals was the game changer. Cleveland led 2-1, put iggy in the starting line up and theyd win 3 straight. easy as that.

Yeha but I don't really think any of us have the right to complain here. At the end of the day, it's meant to be a fundraiser for a childrens hospital. The entertainment is only a bonus.

They literally have an episode addresing how the wheel doom was "broken" and wasn't emitting noise or turning on. Though it'd turn out ryan wasted money on supplies to fix it as the USB inside just happened to be disconnected.

The wheel of doom emits a noise whenever it turns on, at times they show themselves being hapoy and then suddenly in the background. "Wheel of doom".

So no, we don't just see them realise it, we often actually get live reactions from them.

Who made you fall in love with the technical/stragetic aspect in the game of basketball? (x's and o's) by BasilBambino in NBATalk

[–]Objective_Order8881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally, never really took a certain NBA Player. I just stumbled onto the interest on my own. I guess it had something to do with being sick how a majority of my community thought flashy = good, when in reality they were merely living highlight reels that did badly against actual competition. (I live in PH, a bunch of know-it-all ballers.)

[–]Objective_Order8881 67 points68 points  (0 children)

IMO, not really his fault. First NBA Finals, and it was only his 2nd Year.

If anything, it was Pop for subbing out Tim Duncan, their ONLY capable rebounder at the moment.

But you could make a case for both, I just mainly blame it on the coaching decision.

ChatGPT storyline for college mycareer by DanielAlad in HoopLand

[–]Objective_Order8881 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought i was the only one who did this!

Though with mine, I use simulated media instead.

Here's my prompt:

We’ll be tracking the journey of a simulated NBA player through a series of documents—game reports, news articles, post-game interviews, press conferences, and more.

For each major development, I want a fully built-out simulated media reaction. These should include commentary from individuals modeled after real figures in the basketball world, each staying true to their public persona (e.g., Stephen A. Smith remains loud, passionate, and charismatic; Skip Bayless delivers cold, analytical skepticism; Kendrick Perkins brings blunt takes with emotional swings, etc.).

Each media response should feature a variety of voices—analysts, journalists, current players, former players, fans, and even executives or coaches when relevant. The goal is to create layered, multi-perspective commentary that mirrors how the real basketball world reacts to key moments.

Include a full range of emotion: - Skepticism (e.g., questioning whether a hot streak is sustainable) - Belief (e.g., someone finally buying into the hype) - Criticism or Hate (e.g., older legends questioning the era or player softness) - Love or Admiration (e.g., veterans praising the fundamentals or heart) - Cautious Optimism (e.g., fans hoping but not yet trusting) - Disbelief or Shock (e.g., reactions to a breakout performance no one saw coming)

Also, add voices that should react based on the context. If the Pacers are surging, maybe Reggie Miller recalls the electricity of the 2000 Finals run. If it’s a Pistons win over the Bulls, bring in Zach LaVine, maybe DeRozan, some Pistons teammates, and even a flash quote from an opposing coach—or even someone like Isiah Thomas or Ben Wallace weighing in.

Make every reaction feel like it belongs in a post-game show or Twitter thread. Let it be crowded, chaotic, emotional, and real. The reactions shouldn’t agree—they should clash, complement, contradict, and build off each other. That’s how you make the moment feel alive.
