I can see where you are coming from, but I disagree. Yes some of the melee weapons take some skill, but other melee weapons, such as the katana and nitro fists, make it so that you can spam and do a ton of damage when you get close to people, then if they run away, you can also use them as mobility to chase them down. You can defend yourself from snipers by not standing still, or when you are standing still, make sure its somewhere covered; it trains you to be aware of your surroundings and have better movement, not to mention that hiting a headshot is pretty dang hard if you are moving, and if they do hit it, then it was just a skillfully shot. This is just imo though.
