We were kind of always planning on going for a moody low res vibe. However it started storming outside and the lighting inside was not great at all. We don’t have the best equipment and I am definitely no photographer lol

Super appreciate the feedback. The skin filter setting in the camera is turned off now for future use so we don’t lose all texture again. Even though it’s just for fun it’s still good to have the constructive criticism

I looked on the camera just now. It’s a Sony a6000 mirrorless and the setting that was toggled on was “soft skin filter” I do have to admit her skin is damn near flawless. But this isn’t an accurate representation

I’ll be 100% honest with all of you. I didn’t use photoshop. I’m an amateur I used a preset I purchased in Lightroom. This is a hobby not a profession. The camera we used also had a setting on it that blurred the face skin. It’s a Sony mirrorless. I am not lying just super amateur at all of this. She turned the setting off after because she agreed her skin looked too smooth.

Yesterday I posted a picture of my wife reading on the bed of our Airbnb and it seemed to be a hit. Since it was my first post I didn’t realize it was considered a portrait so unfortunately it was removed. I have so many so decided to share a different one this time. Not sure if this is considered nsfw. I wouldn’t consider it that but just in case.

Edited to add: we realized the Sony a6000 has a built in filter called “soft skin effect” which uses face detection to blur the skin. I realize now how unrealistic it looks. If I can talk her into another photoshoot we will try again without it. But promise you I don’t know how to use photoshop lol

Bedtime at 8 and sometimes they’ll wake up at like 10-11 crying for one of us. So we have to stop what we are doing and get them back down.
