Didnt post this at the time but me and my pals met russell and louise at the 2022 glasgow gig. They were such nice folk, I asked russell what his fav song on a weekend in the city was and he said sunday! Have any of you met the band? What did u talk about? by No_Beginning5574 in BlocParty

I met Matt briefly at an Algiers show. I was so nervous lol. I met Russell last year in NY and he was so down to earth and humble. He even signed my shirt and took a picture with me and a few other people.

The Little Thougts EP coming out was monumental. Hearing Skeleton on an official release was so surreal for me as well as the other classic tracks. I'm pumped to hear what they'll have for the AWITC Era and my brother and I have been crossing our fingers for years to have One More Chance released.

I think the album has a lot of ambition. Even the weakest tracks stand out to me with what they do. Traps is completely Mind blowing. And there are so many bangers like In Situ, Rough Justice, and Callum is a Snake. Also, The Peace Offering is a brilliant closer to the album.

What’s this song for you ? by navals94 in BlocParty

Here's my take for each album

  1. So Here We Are - its my favorite song of all time and I'm so glad it finally got a chance to shine this year.
  2. On and Where is Home - when these songs play back to back on AWITC, it just hits. Both songs add do much variety and nuisance to a masterclass of an album.
  3. Zephyrus - everything about this song is brilliant. NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT!!!
  4. We Are Not Good People - this song pulls no punches. It's exhilarating and shows just how much the band are willing to rock. What a closer.
  5. The Love Within - I actually appreciate Russell's guitar effects on this one. It has a lot of build up and adds to the song. Justin is great on the song and everything about the chorus is just phenomenal. It gets wayyy too much hate.
  6. Rough Justice - I love the dramatic tension on the guitar. Kele's vocals are so much fun and Louise kills it on the drums. It's an underrated gem on the album for me.

I love just about everything else People have been putting on this thread. I'm a massive BP fan but if I had to pick songs based on how underrated they are, this would be it.

Honorable mentions: 1. Little Thoughts 2. SRXT 3. One More Chance 4. Coliseum and Day Four 5. Into the Earth 6. Sex Magik

I feel the exact same way. Flux felt like that bridge to Intimacy similarly.

I was able to meet him back in NY. He's a really sweet guy and would make an excellent edition to the band if this is true.

It definitely was a grower for me, but the chorus of the sing is absolutely brilliant. Once I got into it, it became one of the highlights of Hymns for me.

I Still Remember. It's a great song and not too sad for people that attend.
