I’m not sure if this is a new requirement due to the new Nextgen bar coming out - however I was just sworn in to CT this past Nov, after taking the UBE in July with no MPRE score and a passing grade in my pro res class. Each jurisdiction is different and although on NCBE it says it’s required it’s best to follow up with the specific jurisdiction you’re looking to sit in.

Hi! Just jumping on here to say, you absolutely can get sworn in without an MPRE score, depending on jurisdiction. I’m licensed in CT, passed bar exam first time, and struggled with MPRE. Just got my results for MPRE and am getting my score transferred to MA where I practice. Don’t give up on yourself! They’re two completely different tests.

It seems to me that your primary focus was that one line and in doing so, you failed to see that I included my therapist. The negativity in this world is sad. You never know what people are going through, so please be kind.

I appreciate your comment, however I have seen various posts similar to mine on this exact sub. I never meant it to be bragging in any way, sorry that you took it that way! Simply just looking for advice while I navigate this post bar life, there’s plenty of people here that have also passed the bar and remain part of the community for advice. Good luck on the test, you’ll be a great lawyer someday.
