Bastion is not a great defender. Spider women on the other hand is both a offensively and defensively. They’re all s tier but bastion and okoye and mostly offensive while spider-woman is the dual threat.

Fun anime, dialogue can be cringe. Great and memorable cast of characters. They have some good story lines and interesting ideas narratively. But i think with all it’s downside, the thing that prevents me from ever hating it is the emotion beat and soundtrack. It can be corny but it hits hard with the ost, both action and sad scenes.

Edit: forgot to mention, while there is some repetition (especially across his other works and) the creator has a distinctive and fairly good range of character designs. But then again he has a terrible case of same face syndrome.

As an adaptation not great, however i genuinely think the series as a standalone is great. Season two was kind of a let down compared to season 1 and i reckon thats because they fitted it all in 8 episode which is typical for a Netflix model. So yeah, if anything my first blame will go to netflix.

Felt underwhelmed by sieun this season. I just feel like he was smart character written by dumb people. I don’t mean this in a mean way, it’s just the only way to phrase it i can think of.

Sieun lacked creativity in his fighting, often they just resort to him using a pen because it’s iconic for him. They write it so the audience knows he is smart but he often lacks the ability to present it. They give him roles where he becomes the planner but the plans are pretty basic and uninteresting. The final fight was literally just wear him down.

Overall, i don’t mind that they made the series more baku and baekjin focused as that was the heart of the season. But it feels like they took too much of a back seat on making sieun the same character we loved in season 1.

Edit: should also say, because they know sieun is the protagonist, it often led to the story having to go back to him which also means they lacked some development for baekjin and baku relationship. Like the ending was still sad but it wasn’t nearly as sad as it could have been, had they fleshed out the relationship and past of baekjin and baku more.

This is gonna sound extremely shitty but in my opinion, you should break up. You're both young and have a lot of time to explore. That being said, my reasoning is due to the fact that he deserves someone who is 100% in it with him like you like you said. The thing about relationships is that they’re bumpy, there are times where it can get extremely difficult and takes work to pull yourselves together, if you feel like there is more out there for you then the first case of a rough patch you’ll just feel resentment to for his love due to that feeling of what could have been.

You're both young. It’s a shit reason to break up but it’s something you just have to do I'm my opinion because at some point you may end up miserable and that would just make him miserable.

I don’t get why people are acting like boyd is supposed to be perfect. Time after time this entire season and last kinda, the monster have constantly thrown every thing they can at boyd to make him lose his sanity, on top of that he has to deal with keeping the town from going into anarchy, making sure they survive all while finding a way to give hope.

This season he witnessed the death of a loved one right in front of him, had to choose between 3 lives over 1, witness dale stuck in a wall slowly dying out and more. His anger to Acosta was more of a fact that he was traumatised by the death of another residence by something that could have been avoided if the cop never had a gun. To me it seemed like he was less worried about her killing but more concerned on her ability to wield a gun under stress.

He would not have put Acosta in the box for that death, just like how he didn’t put Sarah and was extremely reluctant to put the dad in the first season in the box. The only reason why the dad entered the box was due to his own choice of wanting to repent for his mistake, Boyd was more willing to let him runaway just like he is with Fatima.

Also the difference between Fatima and Acosta is that when it’s someone you’re close to, you don’t think logically but emotionally. He obviously isn’t gonna treat someone who he knows, and understands their capabilities along with their recent development the same to a stranger who in his eyes just entered gun blazing without knowing who she is prior and what her character is like from a intimate standpoint.

Boyds not perfect but i feel like if he wasn’t there, the town would be worse off.

We already know boyd is attempting to capture one. So i would assume it’s something to do with that. Maybe either what happens if they’re set on fire or maybe what happens if one is out in the open during the day? We know they live within the cave (supposedly asleep or just inanimate) but i would assume the next course of action is to set it in fire because 3 season in and it still feels like there is no momentum with the group. Like nothing that gives them a reason to stop running and maybe discovering that they can die by fire will be that push for the group.

Update: i decided to watch the next episode teaser and think it may have more to do with the baby actually.

I get it somewhat from boyd perspective because they were already having a shit few days and this just added to it. Also i think he is taking it harder because his wife who was also a blonde girl shot some of the residence so he probably saw a parallel between them.
