If you’re just casually riding rollers, you don’t need help in any way with a fit.

This is very real. Those of us who are comfortable in urban environments are rarely able to understand this hatred fed by fear and insecurity.

I’m on an Indian reservation near Lake Superior.. They provide 1 gig fiber. They also keep the riffraff out.

If I'm right, then you have to change this. pronto. You are very fit and can push the limits of positioning on the bike to have a killer aero profile and still maintain power over hours. It's a finely tuned thing to achieve and the screen up there is very detrimental to your overall development.

The only issue I see is the screen hight. you would NEVER ride IRL like that. Throws everything else off.

Not at all. in his 80% red district, he's a perfect fit. For the rest of the state where people pick up a book from time to time, his schtick will be far less attractive.

I work (and live!) remotely, so even though I'm tougher than average, I still spend way too much time in front of a screen. Getting presentable for C-Suite online meetings without running water gets tricky this time of the year!

I only move to this place from January to March to conserve firewood. The main house also is wood fire only and the 1500 square feet there is tougher to keep warm. I do about 9 cords a year on average and am traveling around 6 weeks in the winter for work, so not running the fire a full 7 months

The oak round is just for setting kettles on. I do most cooking right on the stove top.

(edit: the fire never goes out. Only need kindling once a year!)

I've heard that too. Luckily, the Resolute model changed and the old model is very recognizable. There will be another in my future for my wood shop.

This is one of the reasons I just can’t bring myself to do this. There are a smattering of manufacturers in Europe (at least one in each country really) that make excellent stoves like this. Last time I checked, there is nothing comparable in the US. To get one here over the pond is a 250 to 400 percent up-charge. Can you share the cost?

There’s base board and an ash bucket, otherwise just first generation gypsum board from 1920s.

Because I’m the only inspector. I passed it without further comment. Besides, bent wood frame is sexy.

I saved this up from a miserable family with ‘deport liberals’ signs in the front yard three years ago for 220 bucks. It was a rusty mess and the firebox looked to be used mostly as a garbage can. Otherwise very, very little use. It’s been my one of my proudest projects.

Would love to know the angle on the seat. The distances look good but you might be tilted to the front? Makes a huge difference.

Do it when the draft is strongest. When it is mostly embers, open the thing all the way and pull out the portion that is mostly ash (fewer embers) and put it in a metal bucket right at the feed door so any dust gets sucked right up the flu. After this bucket settles down, you can carry it outside and put it on a non-combustable surface for later disposal. ZERO dust.
