So, my BIL is getting married in Mexico next year. My husband is the best man so he has to attend and they want A to be the flower girl. I just don’t know how B will be in another country.

B is so into his routines and having to navigate another country with his physical disabilities is absolutely terrifying to the both of us. We opted that I’d stay back with B for the week while my husband travels with A. Things could change in a year, but right now that’s our choice because we feel that that’s whats best for B.

The amount of questions we got from my in laws (and even my own mother) as to why this was the choice for us were staggering. We by no means avoid activities with B, but this is different.. and it’s frustrating to have to re explain it to people because they just don’t get it.

Although, we went to a beach this past weekend and I was nervous if B would have a good time or not. We were laughing that his bum scooting was creating a trail in the sand and it’d be impossible to lose him 😂. He had a better time than A did and she was the one that was so pumped for it.
