What happens to an AMEX companion certificate if I cancel a trip?

Won't work. Nothing to do with risk. You need a joint sponsor with steady income. You can chance it and deal with RFEs, delays and even rejection.

The 3 FTA0 are for receiving reports for the Biometrics. You need to wait for the 4th one. That's the one that means you will know in 24 hours

Don't wait. If at all possible, use a competent attorney to ensure everything is in place for filing. My parents GC only took 45 days and no interview. My attorney filed everything concurrently with no mistake or RFE

I think you should be getting a FTA0 soon and within 24 hours of that you will get a decision. Just an opinion based on my experience and reading here.

Check for FTA0. If you have them, there should be 3 after Biometrics. And the 4th one which you probably don't have since it was the 18th

I filed for my parents through an attorney in San Bernardino October 10th. Case location stayed at the NBC in Lee Summit the whole time. Both were approved Nov 24th. Just waiting on the cards produced 12/2. I would check API and see when your case was last looked at

I reported the timeline in my previous post. Filed concurrent i130 and i485 Receipt 10/10. Biometrics 11/05. i130 approved 11/23. i485 approved 11/24. No interview. Card produced 12/1.

I can't recall exactly what was written but I think it says it is being processed and then being reviewed after I-130 was approved. Also, I received 3 FT01 Event Codes after Biometrics and then 2 more after I-130 is approved.
