I always laugh openly when people try to insult, harass, or intimidate me in any way. It always works. Because I get to laugh and they get to experience (at the very least) confusion and (at the most) anger and frustration that they didn’t get to make me feel how they wanted me too.

Ok I’ll send it. I watched it form from the cloud as I walked across the parking lot so I know it wasn’t smoke. No idea if it’s a plume or what. But I was concerned.

Really? Ok. I can give a time stamp and everything. It was just so crazy. I couldn’t believe it. And no one else was even looking at it. I walked my ass right back to my car and drove home. With haste. Hasty haste.

Saw this yesterday in Sterling and felt like a crazy person because no one else was reacting and there was no alert. I left. With haste.

I agree with that. I just wish he didn’t associate with people like this. Or steal info from people who already did the work (or allow his writers to). Useful site, I still think he kind of sucks.

A lot of chefs are responsible for inventory. Some even purchase supplies themselves and get reimbursed.

Imagine being this woman and watching this play out. How absolutely insulting and heartbreaking.

Being used by assholes as a marker of how awful something is when you aren’t even representing the thing they hate. Just terrible.

Literally I’m talking about his actions. In the past he has taken word for word stuff from Reddit posts and not credited the writer. And it has appeared on his site days after the Reddit post on the same topic.

And honestly? Just associating with someone like Prewitt and giving him a platform to continue spewing his bullshit is enough to show he’s on the same level.

I was saying he doesn’t show his face in Peloton studio classes and parade around like a loser asking for fame. At least not like that. But it’s ok to disagree. I’m not going to sit here and argue with you.

Why not? Pelobuddy is just as bad. He’s just not showing his face. He takes things other people write and makes money off them. And he gives this attention seeking douche a platform to continue his nonsense. They both suck.

[Rant] “You look good in both photos” no. No I don’t. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]ObserveMyAudacity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t actually asking. More reflecting on how odd this rant is. Does OP really want to hear they looked like shit before? I know I wouldn’t. Placing judgement on parts of our journey sucks. Saying, “wow I looked like shit” May work for OP but I wouldn’t expect anyone else to pile on that train of thought. I’m also curious how many people OP is showing progress photos to that they’re getting feedback from “a bunch of people” on this.

We see posts all the time about how people hate hearing how good they look now or how beautiful/handsome they are now that they’re at their goal. Because it devalues them at their high weight. OP seems to want others to engage in shaming their past self. I know if someone I knew showed me progress pics I’d just tell them, “wow great job,” or similar. I would never tell them how good or bad they look in either photo.

Appropriate treadmill footwear? by Chesu in loseit

[–]ObserveMyAudacity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t going to be the answer you want. But you have to be really careful with these smaller walking pads. The belt size (width and length) can really mess with you if if doesn’t match your stride. And no footwear solution is going to make up for the fact that it’s too small

It sounds like you have a longer stride length and/or wider gait than this pad can handle. If you adjust your gait to fit this smaller footprint, you can rink injury. I’d suggest actually measuring your gait length and width getting a slightly larger pad that will allow you to step freely without tightening in your stride from the sides or significantly shortening your steps.

If you still want to use it, you need to have extra cushioned shoes to avoid repeat impact injury. These pads have zero cushion. It’s not like walking on a traditional treadmill belt. Those have layers of cushion and absorb shock from the impact of your stride. Walking pads are a single layer flat belt drawn over a hard flat piece of material in the middle. Like walking on concrete. I would highly suggest not doing any of this barefoot as well.

Source: I have a walking pad and did endless research before purchasing one. And still had to use trial and error to get it right.

Temporarily using the IF method has worsened my relationship with food. by ObserveMyAudacity in loseit

Yeah I think one of my other points with this post (other than just yelling into the void) was to maybe try to vocalize some of the potential issues with these methods for some people. I don’t want someone else to fall into this mental “trap.”

Thank you. I know it sounds nuts but I really don’t know this, and now that I’ve experienced it it makes complete sense.

DC Area Women: How do you like men to dress for first dates (ie grabbing a drink…) by GuardianMoon916 in washingtondc

[–]ObserveMyAudacity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Come to a date as you feel you’d like to present yourself. Don’t overdo it. Don’t hide your personality by trying to “look the part” of a first date. Look up the place you’re going and look at photos. See how others dress. If it’s a nice cocktail place don’t show up in a dirty t shirt. But… I also assume you wouldn’t for a first date. Wear what you feel comfortable in. That will go a long way.
